My company did layoff of 100 people today. Things are hard.

I absolutely do not recommend people to move for further studies. There are a lot local and European candidates in market so getting job is harder nowdays.

Hundreds of students at Ireland's third-level institutions are homeless

Housing crisis+ Rents are at peak level now.

Every new signed lease has a minimum 40% percent rent increase from the previous lease since the new laws are in place since the start of this year.

Those who are moving as students here:

  1. You will waste your money on accommodations scam

  2. even if you do Airbnb initially, you will suffer a lot to get suitable and Good accommodation nearby institute or commutable to city

  3. You will spend 1000s euros on rent. I think only ultra wealthy can manage that without part time job.

  4. Even part time jobs are hard to get nowadays

  5. Electricity and gas pricing are going up from July by 10/15 percent which will add extra burden.

  6. You will mostly see accommodation in non-safe areas ( eg finglas, tallaght)

  7. Every job now was requirement of EU/Irish Citizens or either stamp 4 minimum

Tech Job market is gone here already with intense competition+ AI +housing crisis.

Whoever thinking of moving here, god bless you and I am just hoping you will not regret your decision.

Announcement: is it possible get attention of all students applying or coming to Ireland? Ireland is now another canada

Announcement-

I want to warn all Indians applying or intending to move to Ireland for studies that the reality here is very grim.

People keep warning incoming students, but nobody listens. No one seems to research. You are annoying Irish people by knocking on doors and making constant posts asking for accommodation.

Accommodation is impossible to secure. You will run the risk of scams, or unsafe damp overpriced accommodation or possibly end up needing help from homeless services in Ireland.

Racism towards Indians is very bad.studente have been attacked every day Google it or search reddit. Our embassy has put out warnings last year

You will not secure jobs or PR anymore because companies stopped sponsereing visas. There are more stamp 4 PR work permit candidates now in the market than students who get post- work visa for 2 years.

Part time jobs are impossible to secure because everyone now. Good time was till 2021/22 which is over now

If you are very wealthy, and plan to move to Ireland for studies only and then return to India, then go for it. But if you need to make loans and put family under stress to move to Ireland, please think thousand times before taking any decision or coming here. Take your money back if you have time.

"my_qualifications": 5 years in Ireland, work in the IT sector.

Student people coming here...see this is increasing hate. Don't come here unless you are expectional at what you do.

To all students coming here...you won't even get part time work.

There are racist people everywhere nowadays judging you.

Good driving instructors in D05?

Are there any good driving instructors in Clontarf, Killester, Raheny which are good? I live in Killester so these locations are handy to me

I reached out to the ADM driving instructors team and they sent me a link to download the Flexidrive app which I found of no use and saw some random instructors there.

Would you recommend any good driving instructor? I want to learn automatic and don't own a car as of now.

Former India great Dravid acquires Dublin ETPL franchise

Well well well...we want Ireland to win the cricket World cup one day.

Ireland lose Eoin morgan to england and he won a worldcup for them for the first time after 45 years. Ireland has strength but i believe local support is lacking for players.
