Heys guys buying my first bike
My dad is getting me a bike (I scored 97.2% in 12th and got into a good college 😄). Please help me decide.
Guerilla 450 I didn't like it as much as the others (just my opinion). The pickup felt too aggressive for me, and Papa also wasn't convinced. The 2nd–3rd gear transition felt a bit weird, though maybe I just wasn't used to it.
Harley X440T I test rode it three times, and I enjoyed every bit of it. It's genuinely a great bike. It's a bit pricey, but Dad is convinced, and he liked it too. Plus, I've been watching Harley videos since I was around 9–10 years old—it's a dream brand for me.
Triumph Scrambler 400X A totally different experience from the Guerilla, but it felt more tuned to my pace. It's in my top two, along with the Harley. I also tried the Speed 400, but it didn't suit me as much as the Harley. I loved the riding experience—similar to the Harley in terms of enjoyment, but in its own way. I don't like riding too fast (I've fallen off my cycle way too many times as a kid 😅). Overall, it's a really good bike.
Honda CB350 The riding experience was good, just like the Triumph and Harley (not the same, but good in its own way). However, something felt off. It just didn't give me that "kick." Again, that's completely personal—it's different for everyone.
Scram 440 Beautiful bike, honestly, but it's just not for me.
I also tried a few more bikes—that's pretty much all I've been doing for the past week. I explored brands like Jawa (didn't like them as much as the others), a few other Royal Enfields, the Triumph Thruxton/Tracker 400, and all the RE 650s. I don't think I'm ready for the 650s yet—maybe in another 3–4 years.
My top 2:
Triumph Scrambler 400X
Harley X440T
Honestly, both are amazing bikes with their own pros and cons, but I have to choose one.
My riding style honestly depends on the bike. I really enjoyed the Harley's calm, relaxed, yet powerful character. At the same time, I loved the Triumph's quick pickup, handling, cornering, and the adrenaline it gave me.
I'd really appreciate your suggestions. This is my first bike, and honestly, I want the best of both worlds—but choosing one is difficult.
And of course, I'm genuinely thankful to God and my parents for giving me this privilege every single day.
Idk which flair would suit this, so I just used the one I felt was appropriate. Please bear with me.
i forgot adding service for harley aint a problem in my city there is one harley workshop and 2-3 hero premia centres
My daily riding would be 40-50kms
