Need advice from HR.

Licensed Civil Engineer here (5+ yrs QA/QC & site).

Current:
• 30k basic + 3k allowance (₱33k total) - with barracks
• Internal transfer to facade role, but offer the same salary and allowance - no barracks/accommodation

Now I’m thinking:
• Resign vs wait for end of contract/project?

Plan if resign:
• 1–2 month break
• PRC plumbing exam
• Family time then job hunting

Question:
What’s better in construction industry for long-term career—resigning or waiting for end of contract?

Would appreciate insights from ya’ll.

Hi everyone, I’m currently employed in a construction company in the Philippines as a Licensed Civil Engineer. My current responsibilities are mostly: Architectural inspection, QA/QC, coordination with subcontractors, site monitoring and punch listing. Now, management plans to transfer me to a new project where my role will focus on the facade scope. They mentioned na yung scope is similar to a Facade Architect, pero since my current role as per contract is Civil Engineer, I’m wondering if my job title should be changed to Facade Engineer. Gusto ko lang mang hingi ng advice from those working in facade engineering or building envelope projects. Ayoko lang din kasi sana na ma-take advantage ako ng employer and hindi maibigay yung compensation and benefits na appropriate sa magiging scope and responsibilities ko. Gusto ko lang maging fair yung package na io-offer nila based sa specialization ng role.

Questions:

1. Should I request a formal change in job title from Civil Engineer to Facade Engineer?
2. Is facade work usually paid higher than general architectural QA/QC? Pwede kaya ako makahingi ng increase?
3. What benefits or compensation should I negotiate? Salary increase, hazard pay or risk allowance, HMO upgrade, life and accident insurance, transportation allowance.
4. What is a reasonable salary adjustment?

My current salary is 30k monthly with 3k allowance. 5 YOE na din.
