Rpn to BsCN bridge
Does anyone have any experience with getting their BSCN (RN) after completing an RPN? Is it worth it? Would love to hear the experiences of other older students / mothers who went back to school.
I'm older, a FTM and will be 25 when starting my RPN program. It's a fast track program, but I'm wondering if I should just go for an RN (which would make me 26) by then lol. However if I do the RPN (16 month program) I can easily apply for the RN and get that done in 2 years. Without doing the RPN, I would just apply for the 4 year program of the BSCN (regular route) So I'm just wondering if anyone has gone this route, was it worth it for them, can you specialize in stuff like wound care as an RPN? Did you find it better to do the RPN before becoming an RN?
I have previous education and experience as a PSW/ CNA and would like to maximize my opportunities for my daughter and I. I feel low-key like it's a loss cause I'm on the older side. I appreciate hearing anyone's thoughts and experiences (:
