i am considering joining an activity there once a week in the summers around 8-10 pm. is there any where there are free parking at night?

I’m in some server and these Americans keep laughing saying the program ICT is stupid. I’m in first year and one guy says he did ccna and stuff and how come I don’t know about nodes and stuff. And in the discord vc they kept laughing and making fun saying lol bruh hahahaha you’re x age and learning binary pfft hex math.

Like what the hell man I’m first year. Oh you don’t need to take college for this stuff.

Do trade school. But I am not a physical type of guy.

Hello all eligible voters in Oakville, especially Sheridan students or those who support local filmmaking and cinema-going; the owner & CEO of film.ca cinemas here in Oakville, counsellor Jeff Knoll of Ward 5, is running for mayor during the upcoming election. From what I understand, the current mayor, Rob Burton, is likely to retire and will not run in the next election, even though that is still just a rumor. As a former Sheridan Arts student, I am fully in support of Jeff Knoll and his campaign, especially after seeing his savvy business work in the past year, focussing funds on the theater, reducing real estate rentals of filmmaking studio spaces, and promoting their pristine film, video, and audio restoration services that the company provides. I know that as a counsellor in Oakville, he has led to great outcomes when it comes to serving the culture of our town, most notably, helping to reinstate the Canada Day celebration and push to improve upon security of past years to ensure attendee enjoyment. What do you all think of Mr Knoll as our next mayor?

I've just started going to the gym in the Davis campus lately and was surprised to find out about shower rooms actually existing there lol. Are there people who actually use them? Are there any reasons not to? This might just be a strange question and am just overthinking things I've not yet done for the first time. I pay so much for tuition as an international student and because it's technically my last semester, I figured I might as well use and exhaust all of what they offer me while I'm still a student here.

Is anyone else also waiting for their enrolment to be confirmed by the college for OSAP. It usually used to take two weeks max after the school starts but i have not seen any updates still for the summer semester 😢

Please give me your options on which college you think is the best for this program. If youve gone yourself or that you have heard.

What do you think of the program? I’ve been accepted to it and am trying to decide between Sheridan and Humber. Are the professors decent? Is the work manageable? For students in upper semesters how are the placements?

I failed 2 classes from second semester and I’m currently retaking it this summer but I’m confused if OSAP will still cover it for me.

I’ve already spoken with my school advisor, and she approved substitutes for two of my failed courses. One is being removed by the college due to amount of students failing tht class, and the other is unavailable this summer. These substitutes ensure I won't fall behind in my third semester

I have to pay almost $1000 just for this and I’m confused abt this academic probation and if OSAP will help me pay

I’m starting the program in January 2027, I was hoping those currently in the program could tell me if there’s been any discussion about placements yet? I know the main placement partner is Humber river hospital, but surely they wont be sending EVERYONE there? Just curious if they’ve mentioned anything about other hospitals and partnerships they might be making for the program. I know some MRTs that work in other hospital networks that have said their hospitals have no interest in taking Sheridan’s students so that has me a little concerned…

I’m a practical nursing student heading into my second semester. We had to do our required synergy records and mine has been giving me a hell of a time I’ve done it early and it didn’t pass because my police record expired the DAY they reviewed it so I re did it and then they asked me to clarify with my HCP the dates of my shots even though my they can clearly see it and they didn’t ask for that the first time so now Ive gotten it written up for them again and submitted it. The second sem started May 4th and it’s May 8 still with no schedule I had a balance which put my acc on hold I got that taken care of and lifted still no schedule I was waiting to be enrolled in classes so I called back they told me to make a service request then I did boom gets denied because my synergy is marked as pending when I’ve been in contact with the program coordinator and placement they haven’t been replying to my emails and now the placement coordinator tells me that there’s no space for second semester placement now I’ve been in a on going loop-hole with them for weeks trying to figure this out and Its no help that everything takes 2-5 business days for them to get back to you. It’s not like I did my synergy late I’ve done it on time but they kept asking me for things that have already been verified eg. My hep b is completed they’ll then say it’s fine maybe ask me to upload my immunization record then I will tell me that’s fine the ask me for my hep B vaccine!! I’m so screwed I really need to get into my second semester for summer I’m not even sure if I’ll be able to take my classes since I can’t do my placement idk what to do I’m thinking of going to campus to speak to the beg plea and cry I even told them I will travel for placement I don’t even mind it doesn’t have to be near me. As the placement coordinator tells me to email the program coordinator I do and I get an email she’s away for emergency leave and to take it up with the student centre which isn’t all too much help since they don’t know all of the program in and outs.

Has anyone had an issue with getting placement ? Were u able too get one even after they said it’s full what should I do? 🥲

UPDATE : my synergy has now passed so I’m just waiting for the school to get back to me about it because they wouldn’t allow me to have a timetable without my synergy.

This is a two part question.

Has anyone withdrawn from the practical nursing program after the first semester? If so, how long do you have to return to complete the program before you have to start over.

Also, say you complete second semester and are successful. This means you would have done your first clinical and lab 2. But you withdraw after the second semester is done. Say you don’t return for year or 2 will you be required to redo clinical 1 and lab 2?

The program coordinator is off rn and literally has no replacement so not sure who to go to for these answers
