Current property co spv and trading co. Looking to set up holding company
Hi.
Trading co has approx £500k on the balance sheet which I’m looking to move elsewhere for protection
The property co spv has about £1m in assets and nearly the same in loans (banks mortgages or directors loans as well as a loan from the trading co)
Option 1 set up a new holding co to sit above both the property co and trading co. One issue is I’ll find it a challenge to get mortgages in the future as there are fewer lenders that loan on this structure.
Option 2 set up a new holding co to sit above the trading co get the holding co to do loans to the property co for future investments
Option 3 have the property spv become the holding co of the trading co. Not sure the mortgage lenders will like this one.
I’m leaning to option 2 but would appreciate the thoughts of anyone that has done this.
