Poesie Bunny Collection Reviews (and more), ft. My Bunnies
I promised someone on here that I would post pics of my own bunnies when I review the Bunny Collection, so here's Pippin (brown and black) and Merry (the black one)! Pippin likes to model, so I have more of him lol.
I've been super excited to try this collection! I only got 3 that I was most curious about, but I'll try any scent once, so maybe I'll try them all at some point. I'll also be reviewing other random Poesie scents from my sample collection.
Happily, none of the Poesie scents I've tried have been duds for me, so here's my rating scale:
3 = It's good, but I don't feel pulled to buy more.
4 = I like it a lot, might buy more if the mood strikes.
5 = I love it and I want more of it!
Starting with the Bunny Collection:
Brown Bunny - (4.5/5) This is my favorite of the collection. The peach with the bunny fluff results in a fuzzy peach skin vibe, sprinkled with lavender. I don't really detect any coffee. It dries down to almost a fougere-like scent and it's really pretty! I think it's a great choice for a mostly sunny spring/early summer picnic!
Moon Rabbit - (3/5) A couple of months ago I went to a park for a nighttime cherry blossom viewing event, and in a couple of clearings I saw some wild bunnies nibbling on grass and sakura petals! 🥺💕 This scent reminds me of that precious image. Cherry blossoms have a kind of papery/powdery scent to my nose, and this smells like those petals with a delicate, powdery and grassy sweetness. I usually like scents to be a tad sweeter than this, but this feels appropriate for the concept and notes.
Sir Hopsalot - (4/5) This started off smelling just like a donut shop, then more of the citrus came out and reminded me of orange Danish rolls. The Earl Grey comes out more in the drydown and is my favorite part. Definitely has a cozy cafe vibe!
And now for the assorted scents:
Aphrodite's Breakfast - (3.5/5) I don't know why, but I can barely smell this indoors. When it hits sunlight the smell comes out better, and when I come back in, it hides again. That sais, it's delicately green and buttery. The jasmine isn't indolic at all and translates as fresh and light. It leans more towards green/floral than gourmand, so I think it would even appeal to people who don't usually like gourmands. I don't love it yet, but it could grow on me.
Coquette - (5/5) This is a Lucky Day scent I ordered a sample of. I love a good rose perfume, and this doesn't disappoint! It's a jammy rose that's also creamy and fluffy, like a rose macaron cloud. Now the challenge is going to be getting my hands on a bigger bottle!
Nessie - (5/5) I'm hoarding my sample of this until autumn so I'm going off of memory, but I've loved this since first sniff. The shortbread, tea, heather, and peat all come out beautifully, and it has the vibe of drinking tea with cookies while you're curled up with a book on a rainy day. I'm also a big fan of all things Scottish, so a Scottish themed atmospheric gourmand is an automatic love for me.
