Where to learn and do free diving (Germany)?

Hello,

I have been wanting to get into free diving for a while now and will soon be having a few weeks of spare time.

So I have a few questions related to it, thanks for any help in advance.

I am located in Germany (close to Nuremberg) and have been swimming as a hobby for a while now. I also don't want to waste money on unnecessary stuff and would prefer courses and diving to be as close as possible to me.

  1. What equipment do I need to get started (nothing crazy, but should last for a while)?

  2. Where can I do a first course / certification and which should I choose (I already read up on it a bit, but don't really know what the advantages of one over another are)?

  3. Where can I do actual diving without breaking the bank (I would like to do it somewhat regularly)?

Thank you all so much.

How can I dual boot Fedora and Backbox on single SSD

I have been struggling with this over the last few days, so any help and advice is appreciated.

I wanted to install Backbox additionally to my already existing Fedora installation, but I only have one Drive on my Laptop (ThinkPad).

Goal: Dual Boot Fedora and Backbox (encrypted).

This is what I tried:

  1. resize Fedora Partition to free space
  2. Boot Backbox from USB
  3. Manually create Partitions for Backbox (reuse EFI Partition, create unencrypted /boot partition, create encrypted / (root) Partition)
  4. Finish Install
  5. Installer finished successfully

When I restart my Laptop and press F12 to get into the Boot Menu Backbox does not show up.

When running sudo efibootmgr it shows Fedora and some other old OS's that I already wiped.

I deleted them with sudo efibootmgr -b 0002 -B but they keep showing up again.

When running sudo ls -la /boot/efi/EFI/ there is a new ubuntu partition, so it should be installed.

My next step would be to wipe the drive entirely, because I think my boot stuff is kinda messed up by, seeing as how many times I have tried. Then setting up Fedora and Backbox manually.

What would be the right way to implement this setup?

What caused my Problem and how could I fix it?

Any suggestions/tips?

Is the intended way to select my OS in the bootloader or in the Boot Menu?
