Context, I am a 20 year Army intel guy. Retiring. I applied to Amentum, Leidos, BAE, Northrop Grumman, CACI, General Dynamics, HII, Core One. The only one thats gotten back to me fully is CACI. Granted I submitted most of these skillbridges in the last 1 to 2 weeks. Heck, I even applied to some of the jobs in a bid to possibly have it be a skillbridge into contingent offer. This doesn't seem to be moving quickly or maybe I am over estimating my value?. I told them my target area, Fort Gordon and its basically been crickets so far. Any insight?

I think i made a mistake and I cant change it. I picked the wrong niche is the only bottleneck I can see as to why my content isnt being distributed. Its what I thought was cool content which is basically cracking down on science fiction narratives and talking about how realistic alot of those ideas are given the laws of physics in our universe. The platform is not distributing me at all. I tried everything under the sun.

I have been posting on youtube for a while. I've knocked all the supposed bottlenecks off one by one, and after all that I am stuck staring at an ugly door. Distribution is my biggest bottleneck. I've put alot of work into my content but at the end of the say, the results arent matching the output. I told myself I wouldnt quit but here I am staring at those words with their big ugly smile looking back at me. I watched a Verastisum video once where he talked about how much people dont realise luck plays in many successes in life. I've kinda come to that realization today. I wish everyone else the best of luck though!

This is the biggest thing I have learned over the past 8 months. If you are not doing meme, or pure entertainment content. Lets say you are doing some type of education, whether thats physics, space, universe, history. You are fighting a near impossible mountain if you started in the last 2 years. When the algorithm changed it put a giant focus on what keeps people on. Your content quality means nothing (in comparison) to this one fact. People complain about there being so much ai slop but when a human does their normal thing, the algorithm does not reward it in these niches. Being successful on youtube in this space is nearly impossible. It sucks. Because what I have learned is, you can have great thumbnails, great content. And you still wont get pushed. Why? Because when it comes to education content these people hold the social proof factor high. Hell, I do the same thing which kinda just makes me realise the chances of success are slim to none. To be fair I need to define success. Success for me would be 1800 dollars a month in supplemental income. Don't really know where to go from here.

I keep noticing that my shorts repeatedly keep getting capped. I am consistently getting 70 to 80% engaged and 80 to 95% retention and it wont continue the testing. Ive hit a wall around 10k and my metrics wont break it. Its not super niche. I do these metrics on every short and the algorithm doesnt care lol. Any insight from others in the non-meme and non gaming spaces?

I cant seem to find any updates on when they will expand the languages on the displays to something other than the original 4. I know the non display versions got an audio update for more languages but nothing for the displays.

Any Physics/ Space / people on here that would mind taking a peak at my channel and tell me where I am going wrong. Felt like I have tried everything under the sun here.

I literally make what (I) consider to be solid content. I understand how the algorithm works 90% of the time then it throws me for a loop. But 11 impressions in 4 hours on a long form? Come on now. This is ridiculous 🤣.
