City of Torc`qua hates Paragons

Sort of followup to the my Paragon FoW clear post:

I finished clearing City of Torc`qua on NM, wanted to do some research before trying HM. The necro's Vocal Minority which basically shuts down the team (25% of the team's skills to be precise) was annoying enough, but the QZ is the real problem!

Hero AI auto-recast Anthem of Flame and Anthem of Weariness on recharge, which is perfect for echo maintaining (they last 10 seconds and recharge every 10 seconds), but QZ halves the recharge time, and the AI casts it again when its ready so it just re-applies it, which means the chant never ends, which means the refrains don't get refreshed!

I had to recast them like 5 times and spam "They're on Fire" on my own to keep it alive lol.

Paratroopers Team Build

Just cleared Prophecies HM and FOW HM with my full Paragon team and wanted to share here: Team build here

Setup:

Paragon player, 4 paragon heroes and 3 Ranger/Paragon heroes (no mercenaries, but War in Kryta is needed for Keiran).

Player runs HR (naturally) and every hero contributes a shout/chant/finale for sustained healing, energy management and all-around support.

I intentionally wanted to avoid spells, enchantments and hexes as much as possible both to deep-dive as much as possible into the class, but also completely ignore the counters to these skill types!

Class considerations:

Since we're avoiding spells and leaning into shouts and chants, all casters had to go, leaving me with the martials. Dervish originally was used as a Dwayna healer, but once I got Keiran Melonni was replaced.

Assassins and Warriors are selfish classes so they didn't really fit, which left me with Ranger!

Ranger is a perfect match for this build - Pets are additional bodies and can benefit from some shouts. Rangers have some shouts themselves, but most importantly - Nature Rituals! Infuriating Heat is AMAZING and Winnowing is also appreciated (though Nature's Renewal is better as the team is not affected by it). Lastly they attack with weapons so throwing adrenaline shouts on them is a no-brainer.

Skill considerations - Defense:

Paragon has no lack of healing skills, but in a team like this the core is Finale of Restoration. Since the entire team is always attacking and uses shouts - it is triggered non-stop! Throw on top of that Ballad of Restoration (heal on damage), Song of Restoration (heal on skill use) and Angelic Protection for anti-spike and you're good to go. Chorus of Restoration (heal on shout/chant) is also good but I remove it at some point. In other areas I switched Hex-Eater for Infuse Health, mostly for healing NPCs.

Condition removal was tackled in a similar fashion - Purifying Finale did sustaining condi removal and "It's just a Flesh Wound!" did a "clear all" when needed. Cauterizing Signet is good but wasn't needed.

Paragon has no hex removal so Hex-Eater and Convert were used.

Energy management was done mostly through Leadership, but "The Power is Yours", Energizing Finale and Scavenger Strike made up for the Rangers.

Damage mitigation was done though Bladeturn Refrain, which is a constant 25% block, and the usual "TNTF" and "SY" combo, along with the 80 Paragon armor and 70(+30) Ranger armor.

Skill Notes - Offense:

Crippling Anthem is not that great, but it does feed the Finales, Scavenger Strike, Disrupting Throw and Stunning Strike if it's taken.

If there are annoying stances - two of the Might Throws can be replaced with Wild Throw.

If there are too many minions or spirits - Holy Spear can be taken for a quick AoE spike.

Next up - UW and DOA!

Turns out Rangers are the best at boosting adrenaline

I've been playing around with a full paragon team (I'll upload the build once I finish Hearts of the North and get Keiran for the last hero), and ever since I added a ranger with Infuriating Heat I just dropped all the other adrenaline boosts lol.

Also Might Throw + Infuriating Heat = Machine gun
