If the offer is turned down

I know there is the tactic of offering a little incentive to try and get the vote to pass with the threat it will be gone afterwards.

If the offer was to fail and there is enough time to make another offer before a strike would occur I would think pulling the ratification and not offering something in its place or significantly higher GWI would then guarantee a strike as everyone would be upset. It seems illogical if the goal is to avoid a strike.

Do people actually care about Ed Wells classes?

Title is the question.

This always seems like such a waste of time and resources. I spend multiple hours a day in traffic commuting. Taking on more duties than predecessors while the teams become more lean. If I decide I need to try and squeeze in some fitness there goes the day, leaving enough time to try and sleep and do it all over.

When is there time to take these courses that do nothing for your career? I am having difficulty understanding why this is a bargaining priority.

Recently diagnosed. What now?

Mid-late 30s male, was seeking a professional diagnosis for something else. Went in and did a series of testing and supposedly I am autistic with a decently high IQ. It does explain a lot of things throughout my life.

I bought a bunch of recommended books and have starting reading them a little bit. My therapy has now also been tweaked to take this into account.

This journey started a couple years ago after being rejected. I spent 1:1 time with a woman, not declared an official date, for the first time in over a decade and got a "just friends" text essentially. This led me to feel physically sick for days and look into therapy and mental health services as I know that isn't a typical reaction.

I have mixed feelings of anger, grief, and relief. Things might have been different if I'd known. I know now why I feel different and the explanation is a relief I'm not crazy but it feels it has come so late as I'm closing in on 40.

After a life of being highly introverted I only go to work and home. I don't feel like I have real friends anymore though I know there are people who would probably be upset I say that. I am tired of feeling lonely but with avoidant attachment that will take some work and I'm not particularly social.

So what now? Any advice from people who may have found out later in life?
