X Hand Irritation on LED Strip

X Hand Irritation on LED Strip

I finally upgraded from my trusty ol' G502 Proteus Spectrum to the G502 X Plus, as it was on sale for £90. I am really not liking the way it feels in my hand where the LED strip is. Is there anything I can do to cover it or fill the gap (LEDs are turned off anyway)? Has anyone else experienced the same discomfort?

For a bit more context, I'm a climber and have a permanent callus on my palm which the LED "crack" touches, and it feels awful. I'm also neurodivergent so sensory discomforts like this are really hard for me to zone out or get used to.

I'm honestly tempted to sell it and stick to my old one. I was really looking forward to having a new wireless mouse though, and the battery life is crazy good with the LEDs off, so ideally I'd like to find a solution. Any help or shared feelings of discomfort are appreciated.
