Long story short - 8 years total marketing experience.
Tenure basically looks like 4 years, 2 years, 1.5 years, .5 years and now 8 months unemployed. I get interviews, I got to the final step 2-3 times. But I can not convert, even when I got all out on projects the rejection emails are like “your project was insane, but sorry you’ve been rejected.”
Is my career over? 8 months with zero work has been brutal. It feels like it’s a circular loop: “He’s good but unemployed and therefore can’t give him a job because he needs to get a job and get employed first.”
To be clear: I’m 32 and lost pretty much everything at this point. My parents are keeping me alive for now but really I need proper income.
