Like the title reads, just completed the ti west / Mia goth trilogy, which I’m sure has been discussed here, ad infinitum, (super late to the game, as I know this trilogy started in 2022).

Watched them all in two sittings in the release order, and like many other critiques, feel they’re a mixed bag, with Pearl, far and away having the best story and performances. Unlike most trilogies, the tonal shifts of the 2nd-3rd acts (films) were a sharp left turn from the last, w/ Pearl being a smart choice sitting center.

With that preface out of the way, does anyone in this sub revisit those films and feel differently abt them now? To be brutally honest, I found maxxxine to be the weakest of the three, although it really stylistically nailed the 1980’s atmosphere. Regardless of my opinions, the overall generational character study and it’s connective tissue made the series utterly fascinating. Are there other similar trilogies, or multi-film series’ anyone can recommend?

As the title specifies, (if you’re familiar with the R&M arc, which they’ve revisited in numerous seasons), the similarities are pretty obvious. As season 9 just kicked off recently, I’ve been rewatching some of my favorite episodes, and realized that UNITY (voiced pretty awesomely by Christina Hendricks), was a thing, esp w/the way she “loved” Rick. Similarities aside, no indictment intended, as both are pretty great, imo…

Super late to the party, but I just grabbed serato studio and frankly, I’m amazed how well it integrates my dj pro crates, (previously, I was using dj pro as my main workhorse for sourcing samples). I normally use Maschine for all my main songmaking, and serato studio levels up the process tremendously. My question however, has anyone created a Maschine studio hardware custom midi template? I’m still getting familiarized with serato gui layout, and doing all the assigning manually. I scoured search engines for a resource, and to my amazement, there’s a template for every controller but the Maschine studio, Ty in advance, if anyone can point me to one.
