I’ve cleared the interview rounds with IBM and was told an offer/onboarding details would be coming. Since then… absolute radio silence.
My portal has been stuck for weeks. When I reach out to HR, they either ghost me or give vague "waiting on internal approvals" responses. I've even heard of people with official offer letters having their joining dates pushed back.
What is actually going on inside IBM right now? Is there a silent hiring freeze, major restructuring, or are headcount approvals completely bottlenecked?

I interviewed for a Data Scientist (AI) position and completed my background verification form on 11th June. Since then, I haven't received any update regarding the offer letter.

For those who have gone through a similar process, how long does it usually take after submitting the background check form to receive the offer letter?
