Joining date postpone

Hey everyone, I'm a fresher who got selected by IBM India for the Associate System Engineer role through campus hiring. My offer letter mentioned 22nd June 2026 as my Date of Joining. However, a week before joining, I received an email from IBM HR asking me to confirm availability for 29th June instead, which I confirmed.

A few days before 29th June, the HR called me and told me that the 29th joining has also been postponed and that they will inform me of the new date later.

When I followed up via email, the eschoolhiring team replied saying they are trying to get me an early joining but there needs to be "appropriate available demand to map me to a project" and that they will get in touch once they have an update.

It's now been over a week since the postponement and I have no confirmed joining date yet.

My questions:

  1. Has anyone else faced this situation with IBM campus hiring?

  2. How long did it take for you to get a new joining date?

  3. Is there anything I can do to speed this up or should I just wait?

IBM CIC Off-Campus - Result Awaiting

Hi everyone, has anyone recently received any updates after the interview? If yes, how long did it take to hear back?

I gave my interview on May 30, received bgv on same day but still haven't received any further update.

For those still waiting:

- How many days has it been since your interview?

- Did your application status change on the careers portal, or is it still the same as 'In Interview Process'?

- Also, do you think IBM will start rolling out offer letters within this month?

IBM ASE 2026 – Anyone still waiting for the Offer Letter/Joining Date?

Hi everyone,

I'm a 2026 graduate and received an LOI for the IBM Associate Systems Engineer (ASE) role through campus placements in October 2025.

I have completed all the required formalities, but I'm still waiting for my Offer Letter and joining date.

I wanted to check:

- Is anyone else from the 2026 batch still waiting?

- Has anyone received their Offer Letter or joining date recently?

- If you've already joined, how long was the gap between receiving the LOI and the Offer Letter/joining?

It would be helpful if you could mention your college, the month you received your LOI, and whether you've received any updates.

Thanks in advance!

IBM Consulting India Band 8 - Need Compensation range for 'Applied Architect - AI Integration'

Hi everyone,

I am evaluating an offer from IBM India for the role Applied Architect - AI Integration, mapped to Band 8.

I have around 15 years of overall IT experience, with good exposure to GenAI, AI integration, agentic platforms, and enterprise solutioning.

I wanted to understand from people currently in IBM or familiar with IBM India:

  • What is the usual fixed salary range for Band 8 roles in IBM India?
  • What would be a reasonable range for an AI-focused role like Applied Architect - AI Integration?
  • Does AI / watsonx / GenAI exposure generally command a better range than regular application or integration architect roles?
  • How is professional growth in Band 8 for AI architect roles?
  • What learning benefits does IBM provide, such as O’Reilly, LinkedIn Learning, Coursera, or certification support?
  • Are certifications like AWS, Azure, GCP, TOGAF, Red Hat/OpenShift, or IBM watsonx sponsored or reimbursed?
  • What should I clarify or negotiate the fixed compensation with HR before joining?
  • How difficult is it to move from Band 8 to Band 9 internally?

I am evaluating this as a long-term career move toward becoming an Enterprise AI architect.
Any inputs on salary range, growth, perks, learning support, and internal mobility would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance.

IBM ASE On-campus discussion

Hi everyone,

I was selected for IBM Associate System Engineer (CIC) and received the LOI. Around a month ago, IBM HR called me to ask about my 8th semester completion and asked me to complete the courses on the IBM portal.

Now, almost everyone from my college has received a call asking them to upload their 8th sem marks card and provisional degree certificate. However, only one other selected candidate and I haven't received this call.

I've already contacted HR and informed my placement officer. I also spoke with a few IBM seniors, and they said delayed onboarding communication is common and usually depends on business requirements.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is staggered onboarding communication normal at IBM, or should I be concerned?

Cognizant DOJ July 16 (4.16 LPA) vs IBM Consulting (4.5 LPA) no DOJ yet - which to choose?

Hello everyone,

I am a 2026 passout from Telangana and I have recieved DOJ from Cognizant yesterday which is on 16th July. I also have an offer from IBM consulting as Associate Systems Engineer for which I haven't recieved any offer/onboarding information, but I recieved LOI back in October and just recently I have uploaded required documents as intimated by the HR.

Cognizant GenC - Program Analyst Trainee - ₹4,16,331 CTC - DOJ: 16 July

IBM Consulting - Associate Systems Engineer - ₹4,50,000 CTC - DOJ: Not recieved yet., Offer accepted, HR communicated about document uploading.

I prioritized IBM more than cognizant since I recieved the offers, but I've seen around reddit about IBM Consulting not providing projects.

Comparing both which should I go for? Based on benching period, projects.

Please share your experience and advice. Thanks!

Offer delayed & HR has zero updates. What's going on?

Hey everyone,

I’ve cleared the interview rounds with IBM and was told an offer/onboarding details would be coming. Since then… absolute radio silence.

My portal has been stuck for weeks. When I reach out to HR, they either ghost me or give vague "waiting on internal approvals" responses. I've even heard of people with official offer letters having their joining dates pushed back.

What is actually going on inside IBM right now? Is there a silent hiring freeze, major restructuring, or are headcount approvals completely bottlenecked?

It’s incredibly frustrating to be left in limbo like this. Is anyone else facing the same issue right now? Drop your role, region, and how long you’ve been waiting below.
