CFP Exam Prep / Danko

I started studying two months ago in june, the exam is on october 30th and i feel like i cant get through the danko cfp prep final exams without using the book, and even then i feel like im not remembering what i need to. I am working on the income tax final right now and feeling frustrated.

Anyone else in this position where they feel like the material is just not sticking, or just me?

Danko's Textbook Final Exams

Hello all,

For anyone who has used/ is using Danko's review, how have you scored on Danko's textbook final exams? I am studying to pass the November exam, and I just got through the first exam which was on general principles. I wanted a higher score of course, but I know they are supposed to be tough and test where your knowledge gaps are. Going through and reviewing makes it make sense, but generally how have you done on these?

Just Registered for the November 2026 Exam

Whats up everybody,

I just registered for the Nov 26 exam, and I got the Danko Signature Plus study package and virtual review. I am feeling excited/nervous for this prep and exam but I know it will be worth it one day.

I passed the education portion with my accredited classes from the University of Delaware in 2023. So its been a few years since I may have seen some material, but I am now working as a registered client associate at Janney. I passed the series 7 and series 66 so I have some knowledge from that.

Please give me any tips you may have if you have already passed this exam, or if you are currently studying!

I am 25 working as a financial advisors rep, looking to sit for the CFP in November. While gearing up mentally for the long study grind, I got to thinking about how Ai can shift the need for clients. More and more will go to Ai to answer their questions and model portfolios for them, compressing fees and potentially the need for advisors for the small-to-mid sized client.

I am now questioning my decision about this career path and the job security, let me know what you think.

How Long Will I Need to Study?

I am looking to take the CFP exam in November, I have passed the educational requirements through the University I graduated from three years ago. I have been working as a financial advisors rep/ inputting financial plans for nearly two years now, and have my series 7/66.

But I was wondering how long it takes to study for the CFP Exam and what is the best study program (Kaplan, Danko, Dalton, etc)? I am a bit of a slow studier, and prefer a self-paced program. I like the option of having a big Q bank to test a lot of questions and a good textbook to learn the fine details.

I wouldn't be able to begin studying until the second week of June, and don't have any materials to study with right now, any additional suggestions for pre-studying materials in supplement to the overall study program?
