So I moved into this luxury ha ha apt lease back in end of January. I had a bad feeling due to them having to replace double pained windows - cause why would you? Unless something went on a flood etc due to condensation.
Well first thing was the xtreme tempature , in winter the foyer stayed know warmer then 50 degrees and heat ran all the time never getting above 68. Maintenance men whom I loathe one of them clocks heat at 93 degrees ok so I supplement with wall heaters that do the trick as they tell me electric is way less effective and different then gas heat I had my house with. I later find out after washing windows that the windows are so badly done and not lining up that the elements come in making it drafty as well as the door in the living room going to little patio. The door is off center to the point all these insects came in one night I tapped it up myself noting it the next day.Washing machine makes loud cranking they want video wihich I have now. I’ve been going to laundry mate. Had one of them in when I lost all power in living room and kitchen one weekend. I had called emergency line left mash with operator never heard a thing , figured I hear Monday and when Monday rolled around by 4 and nothing I left message on site and they came. I was told they never were made aware and that the service probably didn’t think it was important…..ok not buying it. So they had to return following day and it was the nicer if the 2 guys and turns out he shows me one of the connections was touching something else not around the screws like they do inside of an outlet. Great. I feel soo much better! I ask if their electricians, no they are not. Now I have cracks down my walls in both rooms looks like moisture and after moving out of bedroom with connected bathroom where I know am clocking humidity level at close to 60 and rising. I move us to guest room due to my lungs feeling weird like I’ve never experienced and I’m always congested and having flash like fevers and my cat is sneezing and coughing which I never heard a cat do, along with multiple visits to vet as she’s just not right and sick which we cannot pinpoint but treated with antibiotics. Lastnite she was really struggling her nose was so congested when sleeping I kept waking her up fearful she wouldn’t be able to get enough oxygen. I vacuum today and go to steam rugs and open vent to hvac system and immediately I’m crazed finding mold inside vent and inside venting pipe filled with crap and as I look further there are legos and cards with crap and things all over it and now I’m totally wigged out. I forgot to mention the stench . It’s notable to mention under the sink in kitchen I found what appears to be mold as well see photos. What are my options here. I’ve always lived in homes. But due to divorce and most recently selling my parents as I had to split the difference with my brother as we were both left it regardless of caring for my dad the last 4 years and him having his own home and deciding that after saying he wanted no part he then did. So I’m here now. And I don’t want to be everything I find I go to clean is just disgusting. I don’t want to go thru yet another freezing winter and it’s,so unhealthy here I don’t know what to do. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!

First time living in rental lease. Mostly good reviews , but I’m not thrilled. Lease has foyer that’s at bottom of stairs where the mini split hvac vent is that leads to a little room that’s against front wall via a big vents of apartment near my front door. So basically that vent is directly going into that small room that’s against front that houses hvac and hot water heater that then is coming thru the vent that’s in my foyer. Moved in on January during storm had a $300 bill for 2+weeks! Foyer was never above 50 degrees. Apartment had to be set at at least 78 to get it to 72 for hours. I finally got wall units to assist in a normal temperature one didn’t freeze in. Maintenance clocked the air coming out was 90 something, but being on end unit i have most windows which I know they just replaced and did it poorly. The reason I know this is I had to wait to move in due to the windows needing to be replaced I was told they were fogged. Their double panes windows. I noticed the door in my living room that’s an open floor layout had a door that goes to a mini balcony ha- the door has literally the air from outside coming thru top where it’s fallen from settling I surpose. I’ve suspected a leak or flood for one reason or another and possible mold as both myself and pet have been experiencing symptoms. I’ve found evidence of this under kitchen sink when I pulled out vent under cabinet and snapped a shot looking up which I’ll attach. Theirs a unit above me I think is the problem I know see on my corners of rooms facing lot have water stains and the paint has somewhat cracked in a line straight down to floor. This and I beleive the carpet in both rooms I can see were wet. Can’t shake the window reasoning and thought I’d throw it out here. Do double paned windows get foggy from flooding or a leak that went unnoticed in an empty apartment that wasn’t addressed right away? Besides watermarks on ceiling I’m not noticing what else could conform such? Thanks for reply’s

In the United States on east coast in Pennsylvania Pa. And Hello,This bookcase was in my parents garage and I overlooked it for years as dad had his paint cans and other related garage products used frequently on car etc.They have both passed on and I have been staying in the home that they put my brother and myself as tenants in common with survivorship rights, with my brother wanting to sell-I’ve been going thru things. After realizing it was a G.W. I gave it some buffing and polished it up.it needs to be Sanded down on top ans on third shelf as theirs some staining from stain paint cans. Other wise she has great glass working door and is growing on me… I was going to put it up on Facebook marketplace but am unsure if I wanna part with it just yet. If I should want to can someone’s give me a price or round about - I don’t want to get lowballed and yet want to be fair. Thanks.
