What does "non" do in the phrase "non mi/vi/etc. resta che"?
It means "[pronoun] just need(s) to," correct? What does the "non" do to give this phrase its meaning? Would it not mean the same without it?
Thanks.

At the beginning of the year I [18F] decided to lose some weight, because I was at my personal heaviest and very much feeling it (5'4.5", around 135lbs.)
Over the course of the following months I lost a good 15-ish, reaching around 117lbs. My caloric intake was quite low because I was busy and had no fridge of my own in my dorm. I think this caloric deficit resulted in a slowed metabolism, because in just 2 or so weeks of being home from school, I'm back above 120lbs. While at home I am no longer operating with a caloric deficit. This is perfectly fine; however, I don't want to find myself back at 130.
Advice on how to quicken my metabolism? I am able to exercise while at home, and have begun doing so with light cardio. What exercise is best for someone who looks skinny-fat?
