Are loose/falling pages common with this edition, or did I get a bad copy?

I bought this paperback brand new, and on the very first day of reading it, the first two pages of chapter 1 completely fell out. I’ve also noticed a few more pages that are already loosening at the bottom corner.

Is this a common issue with this particular edition/printing, or did I just get a defective copy? I’d appreciate hearing from anyone who owns the same edition before I decide whether to exchange it for another, so if I should get another edition instead. I just like the dimensions and this translation.

TBK Book 3 Ch. 1&2 and Some Cognac

Wrapped up Book 3, Chapters 1 and 2 of the Brothers Karamazov and I'm left with a profound weight. Dostoevsky’s account of Grigory, Stinking Lizaveta, and the birth of her son is devastating. I can't say much more without spoiling it, but I will say pairing these chapters with a glass of cognac and the weeping strings of Sam Barber filling a dimly lit room is highly unrecommended. It all bleeds together into something entirely too haunting for a bedtime story.
