Perfumes that stick to your clothes?

My main issue with perfumes is finding those that STICK. I love Jo Malone but they don’t last for shit. I love perfumes that I can smell on my clothes the next day.

The only ones I’ve found have a really distinctive smell that lasts are

- Armani Si
- YSL Black Opium

Please suggest others as I’m in the market for a new one!

How to Create a New Social Group in London

I've seen quite a few posts from people asking to meet up or make a group chat for new friends. While these can work, I'm also noticing a lot of people getting frustrated at the lack of commitment/follow through.

Since moving to London, I've made a lot of new friends out and about but I never found these groups ever did much.

Usually we'd meet up once and find we had little in common other than both of us wanting to make new friends, and then it would fizzle out and more often than not those meetups would fall through.

I made exactly one friend through this, there were a couple other girls I went for drinks with a couple times before it fizzled out.

If you're in need of some new pals in London I cannot suggest this enough: hobbies. Use your hobbies to make friends. If you don't have many hobbies, now is the time to get some new ones.

You'll meet people you actually have stuff in common with. Hobbies like a run club (I know but stay with me) often take place on a weekly basis so you'll have repeated exposure to the same people, you will have an actual reason to see them again.

My friend's sister has also just started a book club to make some new friends which has worked really well for her.

It's hard to find your people and you will have to stick it out! But it is very much worth it as it sucks being lonely in such a big city with so many people who would love to know you. A couple of my close friends have moved out of London so I'm considering getting back into this again so I'll be right there with you.

Advice for going climbing alone?

I have a much needed free weekend coming up and one of the things I want to do is bouldering. I did it a lot at university, fell out of it for a few years and have recently been going more often again. The only thing is that I’ve only ever gone with friends, none I think are free that weekend.

I’m pretty extroverted but get quite self conscious doing things by myself, I’ve been to this wall before so I know my way around. It would be nice to have more climbing friends but I wouldn’t go in there expecting that outcome.

Tbh when I’m with friends I don’t really notice other people and also if someone’s on a wall you can’t really tell if they’re with people or not - is it common to go climbing alone and worth doing?

People who’ve gone climbing alone and met new friends there please give me your insight

Thinking of starting GLP1 for food noise and to improve regularity

I got diagnosed with PCOS a year ago.

I'm relatively fortunate in that my HBA1C is normal and I am now a healthy BMI at 5'6 and 140lbs, at the time I was diagnosed I was around 160lbs so slightly overweight.

My testosterone is slightly high (2.0 nmol) and my main symptoms are just irregular periods which are sometimes extremely painful. My scan showed enlarged cystic ovaries so i fit the rotterdam criteria. A couple months ago, I ran a marathon and a few days later started my period which was so painful I was sobbing and unable to move for hours.

But my most recent period was absolutely fine. The only difference in those times is that I'm no longer running 50km a week and I am back to focusing more on strength training.

Btw if you get painful periods, I cannot recommend buscopan and mefenamic acid enough!!

I don't get acne but I do have a few chin hairs lol thanks to the testosterone but I just desperately want to have regular periods that I don't have to fear will be excruciating.

I have been hearing that GLP1s have been reported to help with this, even if the goal isn't weight loss. I would like to get down to 126-130, but I know that's more vanity weight and will be unlikely to actually improve my health/hormones.

I really struggle with food noise and have had episodes of binge eating. When I am PMSing my food noise is insane and it's like I'm a bottomless pit. It really fucks with my self esteem, energy levels and feeling crappy from eating too much junk food.

Plus the fact I can be PMSing for 3+ weeks means that this goes on for a long time, when my period comes even if it's a painful one I always feel like I could cry from relief. I also struggle with PMDD which is why I get so frustrated, I could deal with it if it was just one week but it feels like it goes on forever sometimes.

Would it be appropriate for me to take a low dose of a GLP1, even if I only take it while I am PMSing? Would love to hear from other people who've taken it and what their experience has been with it.
