Does anybody know how long it typically takes for back payments/arrears to show up when awarded disability allowance?
I read somewhere that it typically takes between 1-3 weeks but I am still yet to receive it since being awarded 3 weeks ago, does anybody have any experience with waiting for this payment?
If so, can anybody remember how long until any back payments showed up in their account?
Honestly can’t believe my DA claim has been awarded on the first attempt, such a massive weight off my shoulders, will be so glad to see money hit my account for the first time in nearly eight months.

Hello, I am currently trying to claim for disability allowance and recently received a letter from social welfare asking me to provide information on how I have been supporting myself financially.
I have already sent them my most recent bank statements and I am wondering what they are actually looking for me to send them in addition to this because it’s pretty vague.
I have been supporting myself by eating through my savings which is reflected within the bank statements I have already provided.
Has anybody dealt with similar when claiming DA as I am genuinely confused on what other information I can even provide them with?
