A Scam by Global Work and Travel

I hope someone who is willing to part with their money to Global Work and Travel can read this before going ahead with a scam that I experienced. A year and a half ago, I responded to an offer on one of Jürgen Himmelmann's websites that stated I could begin an application process to teach in Costa Rica by paying $1. After making the payment, my credit card was charged $7,400.

I immediately requested a refund, but despite my efforts, I was unable to recover the money.

As a Canadian resident, pursuing legal action across international borders would likely cost more than the amount I am seeking to recover, making it impractical for me to pursue the matter through the courts.

Based on my experience, I was treated unfairly and fraudulently, as the advertising and billing practices associated with this offer were misleading.

I find it deeply troubling that people seeking employment opportunities can end up facing charges they did not expect.
