Is there a quicker turnaround time for non-certified documents from the original sources, (e.g. Archives of Ontario, BANQ, Service Ontario, NARA, etc.), than it is for certified documents?

Since they say they don’t need “certified” copies for the C3 application from the original, official agency where we are ordering some of our documents from, (e.g. Archives of Ontario, NARA, BANQ, Service Ontario, etc.), will you get your docs faster if you just order a non-certified copy instead of a certified one?

The way it seems, it’s as if they have just a handful of Certifiers sitting in a high, lofty office with a special stamp or embossment device and tall stacks of documents that they need to study, verify, THEN finally certify. Is it just me? 😆. But seriously, it seems like it‘s taking MONTHS between the ”Found it!” email and the “Stamped it! Now here’s how you pay for it” email. So, I’m wondering if it’s any faster to just bypass the high & lofty certifying office for a birth record in Canada. Has anyone ordered just non-certified copies with a quicker timeline?

Confused about Canada‘s methods of requesting more information.

i’ve read some posts that said their application was MAILED back to them for missing documents. But I also read on other posts that they receive an EMAIL requesting the missing document. Are there certain missing documents/applications that can cause an entire application to be returned by mail and some not? Are there certain missing documents/applications that will just receive an email to upload a missing document instead of sending the entire application back, causing them to restart the process? i’m confused.

It would seem logical to give the applicant a choice of sending missing documents or an explanation electronically to speed up the process or by mail, but it seems it’s selective. Can someone explain this? It will help me to decide to either go ahead and send my application in as-is or to wait another billion months for another certified document.

This is for a C3 application.
