Was shopping for my last car during COVID and just couldn't stomach the huge dealer add on for Broncos. Ended up in a Jeep lease which just ended. After a lot of searching Got this 24 in near mint condition. Family loves it. Only thing to add is a trailer hitch (on order)

Question on Lease Turn In

In my past leases I have purchased the vehicle. My current lease (Jeep) is almost up and I want to turn it in. I have read some posts on people turning in their lease and getting a bill somehow for the difference between residual and market value. How do I make sure I'm turning it in and not getting in that situation. I thought at the end of lease, there was a turn in fee plus any damage or mileage overage so I don't understand this other situation. Any thoughts or help? Looks like it's related to turning your vehicle in very early and triggering an early termination clause. Thanks for everyone help
