Starting a PhD

Hi everyone!

I'll be starting a PhD in September in humanities (more specifically in early modern poetry in England) at the Sorbonne in France and I was wondering if you had any advice to give me as someone just beginning...

How do you know what to do on a daily basis? How do I make a daily planning if I don't know exactly yet what to look for, etc.?

what's something you wished you had been told before you began?

+ I heard that PhDs can be very lonely: do you have any advice to avoid this?

Thanks a million! (and sorry for the amount of random questions...)

Cambridge University Press Access

Hi!

I'm desperately trying to download a book I need for my PhD from the Cambridge University Press website but my institution does not have access and I don't have any friends with access either....

Here's the title: The Cambridge Edition of Works of Anne Finch, Countess of Winchilsea. It's in two volumes and I would need both... Here's the DOI:
https://doi.org/10.1017/9781107706019

Would anyone be willing to help a fellow academic? It would make my life so much easier and I would be forever grateful!!

(Obv I can download and send your way whatever document you might need that my university has access to!)
