I am planning my first Maui trip and trying to figure out transportation before booking everything. From what I have seen so far, it seems like having a car makes things way easier, especially for beaches, food spots, and exploring different parts of the island. I am curious how manageable it actually is without one if you mostly stay near one area. People who have visited recently, would you consider a rental car essential there?
