Canadian sonographer moving to Seattle — how transferable are the credentials?

Hi everyone! I’m currently in Vancouver, BC and considering going into sonography. My boyfriend is in Seattle, so I’ll most likely be moving there in the future.
I’m wondering if there are any Canadian-trained sonographers here who have moved to Washington/Seattle. How difficult was it to transfer your credentials? If I graduate from an accredited sonography program in BC ****BCIT)and become registered in Canada, would getting my ARDMS credentials generally be enough to work in Washington, or are there other licensing/education requirements I should know about?
I’m also curious about the job market in the Seattle area. Are hospitals generally open to hiring Canadian graduates, or do they strongly prefer graduates from U.S. programs? Would getting 1–2 years of experience in Canada first make a big difference?
Any experiences or advice would be really appreciated. Thank you!!

P.S. I won’t need visa sponsorship/work authorization assistance.

What is it like working as an MRI tech in Washington State?

Hi guys! I’m curious about the job market for MRI techs in Washington State. Are MRI techs still considered to be in high demand? What are the pay and benefits like?

I’m also kind of nervous about the hospital work environment 😅 What’s the workload and stress level like? Do you generally enjoy the job?

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone working in MRI in Washington. Thank you!

BCIT MRI

Hello! I’m a RMT and considering MRI as a second career. I’ve heard the program is very competitive… I had a conversation with the program advisor and she said generally what they are looking for is 3.0 GPA+… Can anyone share their experience with application? Or any tips?
And is it important to have post secondary education or grade 12 education is enough?

Thank you!!!!!
