Unusual side effects/have you experienced this with ER meds?

More context:
I have endometriosis/IC/PMOS and have been seeing my PM doctor for about a year but tried everything before they put me on 5mg IR oxycodone up to 4x daily PRN. As I was typically having to take all 4 within 24 hours and having sleep problems, last month he tried MS Contin 15mg once daily with 5mg IR oxycodone twice a day as needed.

I had terrible side effects with the MS Contin that i attributed to it maybe not absorbing correctly as I was on GLP1s a few months ago before I had surgeries. Side effects included : vertigo, manic episodes from not being able to sleep for 27 hours, extremely irritated and moody, as well as the usual nausea. It did help the pain, but I can’t live like that and lose my job.

My doctor has taken me off the MS Contin, I just got Oxycontin ER 10mg.

I am scared to take the new ER medication. Has anyone had the side effects I listed from ER medications? I asked the doctor if the mode of absorption or whatever fancy science talk could be what’s causing those as I didn’t change any other medications and no major life changes happened when I experienced the side effects. Or does my body just not like it at all. I’m just seeing if this has happened to anyone and if they had better luck with just IR.

MS Contin was from RHODES
Oxycontin ER is from PURDUE
I don’t know if this is relevant but I like to have every variable on here.

Dose Dumping: should I be worried/GLP1+ER pills

I just started taking MS Contin 15mg with 2x 5mg oxycodone for breakthrough pain( I was taking 4x5mg oxycodone a day previously)

The other day I had A REALLY BAD TIME and I am trying to figure out what happened as my doctors are all incredibly hard to contact without an appointment.

I was working and I suddenly got very disoriented, anxious, sweating, and mixed things up that were very obvious and nausea and overall just feeling off, I had to leave work and puked everywhere and then was just exhausted but okay a few hours later.

This could have been a panic attack of the worst kind, as I do have a panic disorder, but this felt very visceral and physical as well as psychologically scary.

I should point out that I have a previously taken GLP1s and in turn have terrible gastrointestinal problems, just had a colonoscopy and endoscopy with ultrasound to try and find out why I’m constantly puking and other unfun things. As the mechanism in the ER medications is based on stomach acid, I’m wondering if mine is altered in a way and I may have dose dumped (I know it’s incredibly rare and usually induced by tampering and alcohol but that’s not how I operate and I cannot drink with all my health issues so here I am.

Has anyone had anything similar happen? I wonder if doctors even know the answer to this since it’s a new drug and everyone’s body is different. I have stopped taking the MS Contin until I can talk to my pain and GI doctors, just curious if others had this experience.

i’ve never gotten a letter like this on my prescription about PDMPs

For context, I’ve been with the same pain doctor and on the same dose of 5mg oxycodone as needed 4 times a day, and today my doctor and I decided to try MS Contin 15mg with 2 5mg oxys for breakthrough pain. I have been going to the same pharmacy for almost 2 years and they know me well and have always been very gracious and understanding after every hospitalization and new procedure, never been side eyeing or denied my opiates even before I had an established doctor.

Anyways, today I went to my pharmacy and picked up the MS Contin but there was a pharmacist I’ve never seen nor interacted with before and he handed me a paper with laws regarding PMDPs and pharmacy laws that started in 2011. It states that pharmacies are allowed to make choices about controlled substances (i also know of this as well)

My worry about this is that he isn’t chill about opiates and might start giving me heck since I also take other controlled prescriptions. I’ve been aware of the PdMPs and never asked for information. Weird vibes or maybe talk to my doctor? Could it be because I am on a new med that’s extended? Am I going to be flagged? Trying not to spiral about paper but this journey hasn’t been easy so please let me know if you’ve gotten something like this and it’s just a random thing he did since I’m new to him…
