Hello, I'm late to the party but I wanted to complain a little. There is a lot you could say about this season, but one of the main things I disliked is something Cipher set up that never really gets a satisfying pay-off.

"How do your powers work?" And his whole speech about how supes just accept their powers as they are but don't really learn about them. I was really excited that the characters would actually have to gain an understanding about what it is that their powers actually do and through that understanding, learn how to apply them in different creative and powerful ways.

Instead we get this videogamey "level up when pushed" concept that feels like such a nothing burger. I thought the "understanding your powers" would mesh so well with the supe university setting and I was interested to learn more about how their powers work since all the powers in this universe come from science.

I figured Marie would actually have to learn about biology, anatomy and how cells function and such. Instead the show made such a mayor unjustified leap from "she controls blood" to she can manipulate every individual cell to the point where she can completely restore any ailment including death.

To me personally that was one of the biggest letdowns of the season.
