Sorry for such a controversial topic but I'm really trying to get to the bottom of something here and this isn't an attempt to change anyone's opinions or discontent about anything related to the series but at the same time it does sound like a bit of a rant.

So just because I love Safi and Amanda does not mean I hate Chloe or vice versa. I made a full character tier list a few weeks ago and I have those 3 characters included at the top. I can comment the link to it if requested and you can see for yourself. I've been saying a lot of pro Chloe comments on the main subreddit and on the Reunion subreddit is well for weeks and even for months prior. I have stated time and time again that I sacrificed Arcadia Bay and that Chloe deserves to live when those LIS 1 ending posts come up but when I say anything pro Safi related for example whether its within something to do with Chloe or about Safi on it's own it seems to get hate but sometimes less hate than others and I've seen that recently. Why is it so bad for people in the fandom if someone loves/likes a particular character that you don't and why do I get the impression that me and others can't love certain characters at the same time? To me, saying anything positive about these DE characters in particular is like I'm attacking our blue/green haired idol. A post that was uploaded by someone on the main sub earlier this week (either Monday or Tuesday) regarding love for Chloe and how her character has effected and awakened different people in different ways, I stated on there that I was wearing a Chloe Price men's t-shirt in that moment. Does that sound like someone who has a problem with Chloe Price? 😆

Is the problem about threats to Pricefield or something because they are my main pairing and they have been for a really long time, particularly for Max. Safield is 2nd and Thomfield is 3rd. I had Max with Amanda during DE and I will continue with that within my own personal timeline but if Safi was an option I would have done it. That doesn't change anything about my stance on Pricefield and I hope a lot of you realise that.

Sometimes I get problems the other way with people who are not Chloe or Pricefield fans but it's not as common but I feel like it still exists. If that's something to do with my split Reunion opinions, I'm not 100% sure on that.

Any answers to this or points to make go right ahead but I may not have a lot of happy people here. I just want to understand and see what the problem is.

Time for a little fun question of my own for the redditors. I've seen quite a lot of heated discussions and debates within all corners of the fandom and on multiple LIS subreddits this week on various different topics so I think we should wind down a bit and have a bit of fun to end the week.

We know how big the animal symbolism is in this franchise such as the spirit animals and I tend to use the characters spirit animals a lot in my comments, so my question would be. What would be your own spirit animal? or an animal that's pretty much connected to you in some way. I'll go first. I would be a monkey. (Chimpanzee/gorilla) They have resonated with me since I was very young.(🐒🦍)

So on the 4th June next month, it will be 10 years since I first saw this franchise from the first game in the series from a YouTuber's playthrough back in 2016 and my 25th birthday is also coming on the 9th June. As fitting as it sounds, I think I should at least celebrate this in some way or another as this franchise has stuck with me for so long. From starting out as a viewer, from then playing the games that were already out for myself in 2020 and then playing the games that followed after.
I already have some things I have planned to post soon to lead up to this but I would like to ask a quick question. Does anyone have any ideas on how I should celebrate this or do? Should I buy some LIS merchandise?, should I do a marathon of all of the games in the series? or what? I'm open for ideas.

(Disclaimer) This isn't me defending Safi's Reunion story as I still think she got done dirty anyway. However, I think I'm now starting to understand the entire angle and I think it makes total sense given to everything we know.

First off, We know Diamond eventually left Caledon to meet Safi for their search to find others with powers but we later found out that Safi's plan had failed because they couldn't find anybody. With this being the case, Diamond probably got frustrated with what they were doing and she might have got into an argument with Safi and more than likely just ditched her leaving Safi alone to fend for herself. Diamond ended up doing her own thing which is why she wasn't in Reunion physically and away from Caledon.

Apparently Ivy (The woman she was posing for a large portion of the game 😒) was someone who was romanticly involved with Safi probably within that time frame and had seemed to have broken down quite quickly.

Safi's troubled past and mental health was already an issue from what we learnt in Double Exposure and I guess all of this just made it worse.

She came back to Caledon for Max's help originally because of the overlight visions but she also probably just wanted to see her which was clear even if you supported her or not (dialogue and slight changes taking effect). The picture that she showed to Max regarding Yasmin and Abraxes was most definitely not the only thing she came back for and that's more than likely the case.

She was so sure she was going to find other people with powers and she ended up with nothing. Diamond probably leaving her and the apparent short relationship with Ivy were all triggers for her alongside the visions. The girl would have been a mess at that point.  She went back to Caledon thinking that it was going to be a 'walk in the park' for her, but she arrived back at the worst possible time with everything that was going on at the university. This is probably the reason why Safi was so persistent and desperate in wanting to leave with Max and/or Chloe.

And that is why she didn't want to be alone anymore. She just wanted her friends....
She just wanted to have someone who was there for her.....

So a number of you probably know already that Safi has been a favourite of mine from the franchise alongside other favourite characters that I have being Max, Chloe, Rachel, Steph, Sean and Amanda. I know very well that Safi is a very polarising and mixed character to many fans and I understand why several people in the fandom don't like her, but lately I've been seeing a lot more hate and discourse for the character over the last week so I think now would be the time to fight the noise and fight back against it. This post isn't to try and get people to like her, it's an attempt to show appreciation for the character to those that do. So to the Safi fans and to the people who like the character, what are some of your favourite Safi moments, scenes, quotes and other pieces of lore about her that sparks an interest and what would you have wanted from Reunion regarding her that we didn't get. Let's discuss and hope to find some areas of agreement.
