Hi all, Indian CS grad here, planning an MSc at TU Darmstadt for Winter 2027/28.

Quick questions for anyone who's done this:

1. With the new dMAT requirement for engineering grads, when should I realistically start APS + dMAT for a Winter 2027/28 start?
2. When do TU Darmstadt's Winter applications usually open, and how early should I apply for Studierendenwerk housing?
3. Is the blocked account amount still ~€11,904, and any providers you'd recommend?
4. How far ahead should I book the visa appointment given current VFS wait times?
5. Anything you wish you'd known before making this move?

Would appreciate any real timelines or things that aren't in the "official" guides. Thanks!
