Would you actually pay for this?
Hi everyone! I’m a college student and an independent designer.
I know many people in the West are deeply drawn to ancient Eastern wisdom, Yin-Yang philosophy, and divination (Tarot/Oracle). I am designing a product based on this concept for those who love mindfulness and Eastern mysticism.
But I only have limited savings. So I don't want compliments—I want to know the truth: Would you actually spend your own money on this?
Here are my two concepts:
Concept A: "Fate Flip" - Eastern Oracle Ear Seed Kit.
Combines Traditional Chinese Medicine (acupressure) with the I-Ching.
Each kit has 7 sachets. Inside is a patch with 3 black & white seeds (Yin & Yang). You peel it open, and the random sequence gives you a daily oracle/divination message. You can wear the seed patch on your ear as a physical anchor. It's like a daily Tarot pull combined with an ancient healing ritual.
Concept B: "Mystery Oracle Box" - Upcycled Blind Box.
I found local factories with unsold cute toy blind boxes. Instead of letting them go to waste, I want to redesign the packaging and insert a "Daily Eastern Fortune Card" based on the I-Ching. You get a mystery toy + an Eastern oracle card.
My brutally honest questions for you:
1. Would you genuinely buy Concept A or B with your own money? Or is this just a "cool concept" that you wouldn't pay for?
2. What is a fair price you would pay for each? ($5, $9.9, $19.9?)
