Looking for a certain build.

Ok looking to build a homebrew setting. Pretty “after the end” type place. One difference is that instead of swords and magic, a lot of combat is based on high-tech guns and combat blades, but the big one is anime style giant Mecha. I want to draw a lot from old school Mecha, like Getter Robo, L-gaim, Five Star Stories, and a bit of Gundam. There’s also some Dune inspiration, but enough of that.

I’m looking for some possible ideas for stats, mechanics, or other things like that. Also I just want to hear some feedback on the idea. If possible.

Is Gene a classic rock guy?

I get this impression sometimes. Gene talks alot about modern celebrities, but when it comes to his great passion (Music), he seems to be a man of classic rock (Especially the 70's.)

We see this in his having Tina write him a letter to Michael Mcdonald about the Doobie Brothers.

He wrote a rock opera for Big Bob.

The whole aesthetic of "The Gene Machine."

Do I need to mention his favorite Christmas album?

What else? Do you disagree with me? What type of Music do you think Gene gets his inspiration from?

Good firestarter for a pellet-fire pizza oven?

I've had a pellet fire pizza oven for about a year but haven't been able to use it due to the fire constantly going out. I read recently about the need for a good firestarter. It's about the size of an Ooni oven, so what kind of firestarter would you guys suggest?

This scene in "The Key Board Kid" really spoke to me.

https://preview.redd.it/thsd7eanml0h1.jpg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c3169f088e23f5a4b78f11688c40b8ad46768f5f

As I am also a grill nerd who dreams of being able to grill a perfect steak (I WILL get there!), and also dreams of owning a Gaucho grill (They're supposedly the best way to make tri-tip. Let me have my dreams.). This whole scene just calls to me. I'm sure there are other grill nerds here, too.

What can I do about beading?

This is the Key Lime pie I made for Mother’s Day tomorrow. I usually use a sour cream topping for my Key Lime, but sometimes I use meringue. I did that today. But everytime I do a meringue pie topping, it beads, as shown here.

What is the secret to avoiding this?
