Logic Pro Automation Feedback on Instruments

Hello … I’m using TouchOSC to provide me with a means of using my iPad as a control surface with Logic Pro X. I use it for writing and adjusting automation on digital instrument tracks.

My problem is I’m unable to have the automation from those instrument tracks send real time levels back to my controller so that I can see the faders moving as they follow the automation (important for adjustments).

I have tested using a MIDI track that routes the digital instrument track and that does influence the faders, but that’s also an issue because I need to have the instrument track selected during record to make adjustments, and this bypasses the midi track.

Any ideas how I can get the instrument track to send the automation back to my faders?

Midi Automation Output

Hi all - I have been struggling for a while and could do with some wise help

I use an ipad with TouchOSC to manage virtual instrument parameters on a logic track. I assign CC numbers like 102 and 103 to ensure they dont conflict. When I move the faders in my ipad controller I can see the signal doing what its supposed to ... but when I then play the track, the automation is not coming back to the iPad to move the faders.

I need this to happen so that I can make fine adjustments to the automation during play/record

Any idea where to start? I have tried so many things .... it seems so complicated .... is there a simple way for me to understand this and make it happen?

Im using a Mac Mini M4 -the latest version of Logic, in the iPad i"m using the latest version of TouchOSC and it works great for recording automation to the instrument on the track.
