Grand Slam Champions Born Since 1970
These statistics are loosely based on an updated version of the UTS database. Number 2 and 3 are a toss up imo based on what you give more weight to.
After Courier it gets strange and you can make arguments based on what you believe is more valuable.
Cannot Wait Them Cover Zverev’s Win
It will be another fascinating listen. The darkness that fell over the podcast when he won the French was hilarious. Today, it will be even better. Curious if David and Catherine will be able to muster up one positive word.
We Should Play in The Copa
I don’t know all the details or the reasons why we rarely play(aside from not being in South America). However, the powers that be should make it happen, and combine the Gold Cup in some way.
As a fan of USMNT and a fan of the Copa, it’s a no-brainer. We get put in a cauldron and gain more experience against the likes of Brazil, Argentina, etc.
CONCACAF is what it is.

The talking point that he had an easy road is incorrect.
Here are the current ATP Race rankings of the players the winner faced.

And a reminder. Sinner and Novak actually took part in the tournament.
I am older now(40’s)and can’t move quite as well, but long story short I was a regionally ranked junior and have the weapons/consistency of a 5(I think). I’m still not completely sure what that means, other than I was routinely beating 4.5 players and I had weapons they didn’t when I played competitively 10 years ago.
That said, I still have the skills, but can’t move like I used to. What’s the real difference between 4.0/4.5/5.0 players when it actually comes to entering tournaments and the competition?
*Also, when I was playing 4.0 and 4.5 players, their numbers seemed pretty arbitrary. Some 4.0’s were quite good based on how they competed and some 4.5’s were worse, etc.
