Sitting here with free French TV for a week watching La Passion de Jeanne D'Arc & realizing I can't think of many movies about this amazing woman that I was, once upon a time, fascinated with.
Any suggestions? Subtitled, dubbed, old, new, silent films, no matter I just wanna watch her story in various forms, even if it's not so great, I'll still be happy to watch it.
You can also toss in any books you'd find worthy.
Also found this thread about it so let me know how accurate the recommendations are:

I just looked outside here in Upper MoCo & there's a streetlight across from our house & it has a smoke halo around it. It already looks like something is on fire and it's barely an hour past midnite.
Stay safe out there & stay inside if you can.
I missed The Vampire Lestat last week & this week. Just too hot & tired to manage it. So today I'm watching last weeks episode & I hear the name Jon Bon & I have to rewind.
It's when he's talking about every band having a "road song."
He states:
>Seger turned the page. Brown loaded out. Jon Bon played for keeps because he had too many doubts. I mean that's not the lyric but it should've been. AND Phil X was a better guitarist than Richie Sambora. There. I said it so you don't have to.
I nearly fell off my couch when I heard that!! Leave it to Lestat to speak blasphemy about Bon Jovi & Richie Sambora!!
If you're a Bon Jovi fan, you'll get that reference. If you're not, well, to many of us Bon Jovi isn't the same without Richie & many aren't fans of his replacement, Phil X. The guy is no lightweight, he's filled the shoes, but it definitely isn't the Bon Jovi I grew up with & I'm sad younger fans won't get to see Captain Kidd & The King Of Swing live, on stage, together, at their best.
Leave it to Lestat to be a brat & prefer the "new kid."
I love it when my fandoms collide!!
I missed The Vampire Lestat last week & this week so I'm catching up with last week first. The band is on tour & Lestat is discussing the tour. He's saying how all bands have songs about being on the road.

FTR, if you aren't watching this show you are missing out.
I'm not sure if this will be true for everyone but I have Xfinity/Comcast/whatever they're calling their megacorp this week in Montgomery County, Maryland.
I was rewatching the series last nite on Netflix & wanted to make sure I had the upcoming season set to record so I go back to Comcast, go to the guide & find AMC, scroll up to 9PM tonite & look for those lovely series of red dots that mean a series recording & I see ZERO RED DOTS!! THE RECORDING ISN'T SET!!!
GAH!!!
So I set it up to record the series then realized Comcast decided to call it, properly I suppose, The Vampire Lestat in their listings.
I just wanted to give a heads up in case anyone else has this problem they can check now. If you've gotta sadly miss it in real time & you're expecting last year's recording settings to carry over they may not.
