Project Holocron - NPC Library Deep Dive and Desktop Revision
Hi everyone! Today, I'll go over the NPC Library and go into detail how GMs can browse and create custom NPCs and place them in an encounter tracker along with going over the new desktop revision and future plans.
NPCs are broken down by faction, then by the major organizations they belong to. When viewing an NPC page, you can view stats, gear, and abilities. GMs can also clone any NPCs' stats to create a custom NPC or create one from scratch. You can also create "non-combatant" NPCs. This gives you the ability to track an NPCs disposition and story hooks; there's an option to add stats and gear if you'd like.
Any NPC, created or not, can be added into an encounter tracker. Once you create the name of your encounter, you can add your NPCs and track wounds, strains, conditions, crits, etc. You can adjust minion groups to your desired amounts, and it will adjust accordingly.
You can also see that I am starting to revise Project Holocron for desktop use. I have begun implementing a revision so that eventually you can view the website with desktop, tablet, and mobile friendly versions. The two parts that have gotten the most attention so far is the character sheet and the NPC library.
Thanks again to everyone who is contacting me telling me how much they have enjoyed the project so far and giving me constructive feedback. There's a lot more coming; I'm looking into a way for users to have their data persist across multiple devices and adding new features like crafting and data editing. If you'd like to donate, I have a Ko-Fi link on the main landing page:
