I’ve been test riding bikes and now am at the point of decision but I wanted to hear everyone’s thoughts.

I live in downtown Tokyo and most of my rides will be day rides or shorter but I do plan on doing longer trips that will require luggage on the bike. The BMW can be set up well enough for that, but I’m unsure about the Yamaha.

Both bikes felt great. The BMW might have been more natural but that could also be because it was the last bike I rode, while the Yamaha was the first. After eight years out of the saddle (I moved to Japan that long ago and left my beloved SV650 when I did) I was a little rusty so getting past that may be a factor.

Thoughts? Anything I’m missing or that I should consider?
