Mucous stool

My 8 month babygirl is unable to hold in her stool the past 24 hours (she usually can make it throughout the entire night without getting up).

She is an incredibly behaved little girl, but loves to stick her mouth on things it doesn’t belong. Especially in our garden!! She just loves fruits and veggies.

She ate an unripe pear (grandma wasn’t watching her) and I think that was the culprit. I think she has colitis (inflamed colon) as there is no blood just mucous. And she is still her normal, playful self (which is why I don’t think it’s bacterial).

Is there anything else we can do for her except white rice, shredded chicken, and pumpkin puree? Bonus of her enjoying watermelon!

Thankyou!!

Our swimming bug

She just jumps right in and stays in for hours! She will play “hungry hungry hippo” until we force her out with a bunch of play balls!

Allergies

Good morning!
Our 7 month English Bulldog is starting to show signs of environmental allergies, goop in eyes and itchy/yeasty paws.

We are going to start soaking her paws in epsom salt and our vet recommended 25mg Benadryl but we would prefer not to use it. We also use Purina Pro Salmon Formula Food.

What are you guys using for your EBs to help alleviate some of the discomfort during allergy season.

My Cannoli’s 6 month birthday today

Baby is recovering from surgery but you KNOW she will be spoiled when she’s feeling better!

Teething, Early Teenager Phase, and 2 days post spay

Oh my goodness!! I thought molar teething was rough!! I underestimated how difficult this trio is!!

She was just on carprovet and trazodone. She isn’t showing signs of pain, except her chewing still due to her teething. Also, this is definitely amplified since being medicated. And her big teeth are coming in.

The trazodone was not working at all, she wasn’t calming down. Still getting extreme zoomies, I called the vet now she’s on gabapentin and trazodone and carprovet. She’s a fighter, trying to fight off the sedatives. After about 3 hours, she’s finally sleeping. Granted, this is her normal bedtime so it could be that. I’m worried they aren’t working and she’s going to hurt herself.

Has anyone experienced this?? Is it normal for bulldogs, given their stubborn nature, to fight off the medication?

Post Spay

My Cannoli Baby got spayed yesterday and I’ve called the vet 3 times already this morning for confirmation and making sure things are okay. They gave her carproval for pain and trazodone to keep her from her zoomies.

I’m compiling a list for vet callback but I was wondering if any of you guys are experiencing the same:

  1. constipation, she ate her normal breakfast and only popped out two pebbles.
  2. pretty intense tremoring after taking her trazodone.
  3. restlessness? Around 3-6 am (she sleeps until around 7-8 usually)

Food Switch

Hello, my EB puppy (5 months, 3 weeks) just got spayed today. Her vet recommended starting to transition to adult food due to her visceral fat being a little more than they like to see.

Obviously, it’s recommended to wean her off her Purina One Plus Puppy Chow by mixing in adult food. What brand is recommended for this switch?

As of current standard, we haven’t noticed any sensitivities. Thanks!
