Repost because it was kindly pointed out to me that my slowed down laugh on the other video sounded like something incredibly NSFW 😬
Baby is recovering from surgery but you KNOW she will be spoiled when she’s feeling better!
Oh my goodness!! I thought molar teething was rough!! I underestimated how difficult this trio is!!
She was just on carprovet and trazodone. She isn’t showing signs of pain, except her chewing still due to her teething. Also, this is definitely amplified since being medicated. And her big teeth are coming in.
The trazodone was not working at all, she wasn’t calming down. Still getting extreme zoomies, I called the vet now she’s on gabapentin and trazodone and carprovet. She’s a fighter, trying to fight off the sedatives. After about 3 hours, she’s finally sleeping. Granted, this is her normal bedtime so it could be that. I’m worried they aren’t working and she’s going to hurt herself.
Has anyone experienced this?? Is it normal for bulldogs, given their stubborn nature, to fight off the medication?
Lady loves running through the garden dirt and scooping up a mouthful and making me chase her. Now I get to brush all the mud from her teeth. Good times.
Just always judging, yet not caring where his "red rocket" lays
A kitchen is not complete…
Without a bulldog at your feet
Hi all. A little background on our girl. We have had her for about a year and a half. She was a rescue that was likely being used for breeding. I’m assuming this because she was left at a shelter when she was unable to pass her puppies, most of which unfortunately didn’t make it. When we got her from her foster, she had a beautiful coat with no signs of hair loss. Winter approached and she developed hives. The vet prescribed steroids which cleared most of them up and she seemed to clear up pretty well going into spring with minimal hair loss. This past winter, she had hives even worse. Two rounds of steroids helped a little but once again, only time really seemed to make them go away. I believe she had a dust mite allergy and I wasn’t keeping up with her bedding enough, but that’s just my guess. She now suffers from this hair loss. I took her back to the vet who started her on cytopoint shots, she’s received one and it was two weeks ago. The hair loss seems to have gotten worse. She’s also a very very picky eater and hates any type of kibble, I’ve tried numerous. I switched to raw chicken and veggie mix from a k9 store. She’s been on it two months and loves it, but I do know staffs tend to suffer from chicken allergies. Her energy has improved, shes lost weight, and shes much happier and much more active. I’m just at a loss for what’s next. How do I know the cytopoint is working? Should I switch from chicken to another raw food? Should I ask the vet to try Apoquel or should I stick with the cytopoint a little longer?
Hello again everyone, link to my last post. I went and saw Maple so here’s some info:
The vet thinks she’s got nuclear sclerosis, elbow dysplasia, severe gum disease(her mouth stinks) and a huuugee underbite
She struggles to walk and mostly just chills. I have a baby bulldog at home and a middle age, very mellow and agreeable pug. The pound says she will stand over other dogs to assert dominance but doesn’t hurt them.
She’s overweight and needs a bath.
All that said, I still want to give her a comfortable place to be for the last of her life but I need a good insurance for her before committing. I’ve seen several senior insurances but I haven’t had dog insurance before.
So do any of you have any suggestions on insurance or advice on her suspected health issues?
Someone shared a cute video of their bulldog and bunny. Here are my two. Lola Belle (dog) and Coco (bunny).
We are located in the UK and currently feed him (5 month old) a mix of James Wellbeloved Turkey & Rice, Butchers wet food (mix pack of turkey, salmon & trout) and a few scoops of pumpkin puree.
He has had some diarrhea/soft stools today & yesterday. Not 100% sure why but might be because we switched his kibble to a new brand for the week.
Is there any brands that you are brand loyal to for kibble? Or any other meal regimens that you recommend? Thanks!
His sister left for a school trip on Monday at 9am so he’s really missed her, he’s been sitting outside her room tapping the door and whining, and looking out the window for her, so I think she’s going to have a bulldog parasitic twin for the rest of the evening 🥰
