Lucy is partying hard tonight.
She’s spent all day below in the A/C with mom and her stupid chronic illness, but at almost midnight she’s super happy to come show all the peeps she’s in charge. 🥰

This reversible blanket (measuring 55”x66” at completion) was made for a friend who got a new boat. She chose to include a dragonfly in the graphic for her boat’s name. I was - very unsure - about the orange ombré. But now I love it. It reminds me of dragonflies flying over the water reflecting a sunset. I debated on using a solid for the front border, but went with the ombré and am glad I did. The way it ended up playing down is reflective of that same sunset sky.
Sorry for poor lighting… I took this in the light of the tv at 11pm cuz I was glad to be done with everything but the dreaded envelope border (I really hate doing them but they are the best).
I wasn’t sure at ALL about using the “sunset” ombré yarn for this, but the more I look at it the more I like it!
Will post a final once it’s completely done evil envelope border and all, but excited to share.
She’s not happy or anything! Her life is just so hard.
She had a spa day today. But they did a thorough tail pocket cleaning and she hasn’t forgiven mom yet.
Yes she has a life vest. No, it’s not needed at the moment. She is contained. The boat is her happy place! 🥰
A good friends daughter is having her second baby. The first is 2, but having had 3 kiddos myself, I know the older child always gets left out at baby showers etc. So I decided to make her something - and settled on this (she loves Pooh, and her favorite colors are “pink, purple and sparkles”.) I should maybe have used dk yarn because it’s big - adult throw size. But then I realized this can be something she uses at story time with mom and dad and later can be her own blanket as she grows. Halfway through, her mom mentioned something about Pooh and I smiled and asked her if she also loved Pooh as a child. She laughed and showed me one of her tattoos - it’s this saying on her side. 🥹
Sometimes the universe can be cool.
Forgive the wrinkles - I’d just washed it and laid it out to block. I was going to make it reversible, but felt it would get too heavy.
