Crochet Blanket

I've been working on this blanket for awhile now. I made up the pattern myself, but I can't decide if I like it. I would love some feed back.

The Purple Lion

I have finished "The purple Lion" blanket! I name every blanket I make. This was my fist time using Lion Brand Yarn (8skeins). I chose the color purple. Hence The Purple Lion. I used the blanket stitch. It's a yarn eater for sure but it makes a squishy blanket. Look how proud Lovey Dovey is.

I can't not see it

So I finished the first of 3 panels but gotta start over. I got lazy and wasn't keeping count like I should have. But I'm not frogging it

Trying to get my crochet mojo back by doing a few rows

After I've posted almost all the crochet things I've made over a few different crochet subs, its gave me a little bit of mojo to do a few rows of a blanket I started ages ago thats just been in my yarn box

I love how this c2c baby blanket turned out.

I was gifted a thirty gallon garbage bag of vintage yarn. There were six skeins of this Caribbean blue yarn from my favorite store- Herrschners!!

Just started a blanket for my nephew.

Both my niece and nephew have been given two sets of hats and scarves I made. But for my niece I also made her a Sunburst Granny Square Cardigan and a poncho. So I asked my nephew if he would like a throw blanket. He said yes and gave me some color options- including black. I used leftover Caron Blossom Cakes in Shadow that I mixed with leftover Charcoal in a donation keyhole scarf. There was a limited amount of yarn but it worked. I showed my nephew the scarf so he could see what the black (Shadow) looked like. He loved the mix of the two colors. So I am using the scarf I made with leftover yarn as the inspiration for his blanket.

The vertical stripes are made with varying thicknesses. I am attempting to carry the yarn to cut down on the number of tails to weave in. I never did that before. I have two cakes of each color going at the same time. Because the stripes I create have odd and even number of rows sometimes both cakes end up on the same side. So I have had to cut the yarn and weave in the occasional tail. But carrying the yarn has saved me some time.

The length of the blanket is 80 inches. I plan on adding a border as well. If my nephew decides he would like the blanket to be even longer I will make the stripes horizontal and add a lot more length. It would likely fit his bed. I overbought the yarn from Michael’s so I won’t run out. That is my strategy to increase my odds of getting enough cakes with the same dye lot numbers. Sure enough, three cakes of the lighter charcoal are different than the others. But I do have to finish this blanket with enough time to return the unused cakes.

Waffle stitch baby shower blanket

I’ve just made this for a friend as a baby shower gift for her to give. I hope the parents like it, I made multiple waffle blankets for my own baby a few years ago in different sizes and they were great🥰

A pram blanket for a baby boy

I didn't realise I went wrong right at the start as this was one of the first blankets I made, I had done quite a bit before someone pointed it out and didnt want to start again as I'm so slow, this took 5-6 hours a day for 5 days lol, I like to put a white wavy border on blankets I make

I really love the "Lattice Shells" stitch by Creative Grandma on YouTube

It works up quickly, once you get the hang of it it's perfect for TV watching. I love making baby blankets from it - this Lion Brand Mandala yarn (in "Diagon Alley") really brings out the stitch ❤️🧶

Finally finished this wedding blanket 💃🏻

After nearly 6 months, approximately 140 hours, and 13.5 seasons of Law and Order: SVU, I finally finished this blanket. And it’s reversible! They got married in March so only a few months late.

Working on this 6-day star blanket for my sister

She has a calico cat I love, and this colorway reminded me of her. It’s been really fun and I’m nearly done already. I’ve loved how simple the pattern is. My dog is loving it too lol
