Making a wedding gift for my best friend, juniper moon cotton yarn. Soooo soft and sooo expensive. I'm on 4 of 8 yarn cakes I've purchased, hoping it ends up big enough without needing to buy more!
I'm trying to make a blanket as a wedding gift and found the couple's perfect colors in Juniper Moon's Dusty Woods cotton yarn. However, it's not even baby blanket sized yet and I've already blown through $50 of yarn! Is there any other soft cotton or similar to this cumulus rainbow that would compliment what I've got going without breaking the bank? I've used 25% of the yarn I bought for this, but I'm thinking even with blocking there's no way I'll not have to buy more. Also I worry the bigger the blanket gets, the less you'll see the color ombre that I love. Should I do it in joined squares instead of continuing to grow like this, or any other ideas?

I bought this in CT and 2 cakes were all that was left. Trying to make a blanket for my best friend's wedding and would like it to be larger than baby blanket size. If anyone has some they're trying to let go of, please let me know. Thank you!
Idk if this has been posted before, but I've never seen it as an OG fan who played when this came out almost 30 years ago and several times since. A recent trip to NYC had me wanting to replay again, so after firing it up now I'm still finding new things decades later!
