Strategy Guide Collection
My strategy guide collection! The first photo has four of the five guides you had to order from dreamcatcher back in the day, they are pretty hard to find these days. 😃

I unfortunately did not have fifteen dollars to spare in this economy just for francy content but my heart broke to leave her behind💔
Throwback to when my daughter and I played last train and I was taking the video to annoy my mom (a teacher who heard "six seeeeven" all day every day) and my daughter just spontaneously made it better 😂
HEY Y'ALL been a while - I used to post my Sims creations over here of all the Nancy Drew characters. Until I figure out how to move them all in together effectively there, I have been making an island of all my fave characters on Tomodachi**** Life: Living the Dream!!!
I am adding more characters all the time, lemme know who y'all think needs to be added next!
Many characters have fallen in love with Nancy Drew, unsurprisingly, but we do have some budding relationships between Big Island Mike & Professor Hotchkiss, Yumi & Mel Corbalis, aaand Sonny Joon & Bess so far.
I am streaming the silliness every once and a while at twitch.tv/penelopepuzzles
Okee thanks byeee I will probably post more pics as I keep adding more charcters and dialogue options thank yaaaa and semper ubi sub ubi!
I am playing this for the second time ever, with my almost 6 year old. I remember generally being confused and not liking it when I played it initially. But upon replay, I think it’s actually pretty good! Once I got over the difference in graphics and voice actress, I’d say the story is solid, puzzles good, and even the game’s humour is good. like the puppet show, I actually found funny? idk. and I have to say that I even like the voice actress more now. As much as I love Lani and she *was* Nancy Drew for me, it is also true that by the end of the series she sounded nothing like a teenager (I understand this may have been the direction she received, which is strange). Overall, I’m enjoying it more than I ever enjoyed the Shattered Medallion, and the story is much better than that one (the humour is much better too).
Does anyone else enjoy this game?
With no face (for explanatory reasons)
Need to make her a horse shirt sometime soon!
Did anyone ever buy them? I won Scarlet Hand with the strategy guide through an ND contest and I’ve never been able to find any others. It’s super handy!
I'm from Brazil and i had basically given up on finding any Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys books here because they were out of print since the 90s 💀 but yesterday i was at a book store and I found this! Apparently Harper Collins (that owns the book rights here) decided to re print the first ones !!
I didn't get them (yet!) because I'm short on money but I cannot wait to be able to read them <3 fingers crossed they sell well and they decide to keep this up for the sequels
My first game was Danger in Deception Island, and I guessed that the villain was the person Nancy goes after in the kayak.
Which game had you guessing incorrectly, and who did you think was the villain?
I just finished Curse of Blackmoor Manor and I need a break from scariness for a while 🫣 what ND game should I play next that is less spooky/has less jump scares?
I’m stuck in this part. The milk won’t fill in the coffee at all even though I try to move it around many times. Is it a technical error in this game?
Ik the first four books became free this year, but I heard three non renewed ones are also included, two revised and one original series book which fell out of copyright in the 1980s due to pre-1964 renewal requirements for works or else they would enter the public domain after 28 years. So here is a download to the ebook.
mine was the Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake computer game! i remember being a kid (circa 2008-2010ish) and borrowing it from the library, back when they used to carry computer games. i chose it because i liked the look of the cover, and the title sounded awesome. ghost dogs? a place called moon lake? sign me up!
i installed it on our ancient desktop computer and proceeded to scare the absolute pants off myself with the intro sequence. i remember hiding in the hallway and peeking around the doorframe to watch the dogs jump at the window, since i was too scared to stay in the room. now i can look back and laugh at how bad the graphics were.
i have so many fond memories of spending hours playing GDoML and so many other HerInteractive games on that old computer. i never managed to finish one; this was before the times of being able to google a walkthrough, so i’d always get stuck on some puzzle or another. but that never bothered me. i remember the cooking minigames in Icicle Lodge, the awful wasp tree in Crystal Skull, the confusing transit system in Danger by Design, making drinks in Castle Malloy, the snack station in Waverly Academy, and chasing Twisters. i also remember the Dossier games, though i was only ever able to play the demos :(
besides the computer, i also had the DS games! i believe the only one i wasn’t able to beat was the one with the Cluebenders society. i kept getting lost and i found the puzzles too difficult. i remember getting so good at The Hidden Staircase because i would memorize where everything was hidden. honestly i think that was one of the first games i ever learned to speedrun, though i didnt know that was the term at the time.
so, reddit, what was your first ND game? eager to hear any fun memories or stories other folks may have!
