Playing Sims 2 on my XP laptop

I bought this laptop off Ebay several years back, unfortunately I lost the charger during a move, so it's sat in storage for awhile. Recently I bought another charger for it. It feels so good to see it brought back to life. It's a really nice laptop, but the battery has depleted a bit since I last used it, and ocassionally I get a "no hard drive found" error upon booting, an issue it's had since I got it, all I have to do is reinsert it (I will replace the hard drive eventually.)

Vampires not appearing on downtown lots?

I'm trying to have my sim marry a vampire, I've sent her downtown several times, no luck of a vampire spawning. It's a fully custom neighborhood, with all subhoods built from the ground up. I've added extra vampires to the hood via npc and townie maker, I added crypto night club to the hood even. I've seen one vampire show up on her first visit, but she's not into guys, but no luck since that night.

Psychs should have died in Seed

I think he should have died in the movie, any time someone slightly inconveniences, or upsets Chucky, they are gone, but the guy who abused his kid for 6 years gets away scott free. In the movie, we have zero indication that Chucky and Tiffany never learned about his past, but if they did, Chucky would be in England so fast, bonus if they showed Chucky travelling on a map to and from the UK. I don't know where it would have fit in, perhaps as a post credits scene. It would have also been interesting to hint at Glenda, where after getting out of the cage, we hear Psychs scream off screen, then Glen running without him chasing after (the less likely scenario.)

Either way, that's one thing that bugs me about the movie, yeah it's supposed to be filler, but also dropping such a heavy backstory that involves child (doll) abuse, and the culprit gets away scott free, it always made me feel bad.

Did I just ruin my microwave?

I did a dumb thing tonight, I put my leftovers in the microwave, in the takeout container, forgetting there was foil around my food. Soon I started to smell smoke, immediately stopped it, luckily nothing happened, just smoked. Is it safe to use still?

"But did she ask"

Edit: I just realized I remembered this story a little incorrectly, in the original I thought she got in trouble because they thought she took something without permission. I corrected it, and it's even stranger.

This happened a few years ago, this was something that happened to me, but in my family that I witnessed (sort of caused.)

A few years ago my uncle died, and we went out of state for this big family reunion/celebration of life (his actual funeral was a few states away, we didn't go to that.) Since I knew kids were going to be there, I brought bubbles along, which I think was leftover from another relative's wedding and I just needed to get rid of them.

After handing one to this one girl in particular, mom and grandma got on her case asking if she asked if she could have one, they were pretty agressive about it too. I explained that I offered it to her, they got onto her, saying if she had asked, she would have gotten in trouble, and would have spanked her for asking as I'm handing them out. For some reason they were teaching her that it's wrong to ask for something, even if it's there for kids to enjoy. I felt so bad for her, and hope she's doing good today (it was on my uncle's side, which I don't know as well, only a few select cousins.)

How can I make this work on my laptop?

I posted the other day after I booted up my 98. Now I'm trying to get some games, and a couple programs installed, but I'm having trouble with it. It doesn't detect the right driver. It's an external cd drive, and it's supposed to compatible with it. The laptop does have a floppy drive, and I'm going to get a reader to transfer some data that way, but I was really hoping to get the cd drive to work as well.

Asking me if I want to resell my purchases?

Most things I buy off there, I want to keep. Last Holiday was a present for my grandma I bought 2 years ago. If I want to resell something, that will be up to me, showing me items I bought asking if I want to resell, is something else.

Just brought these back out for the first time in a few years.

Thank you for helping me figure out the right charger, I've missed them. Unfortunately the hard drive is going bad on the XP (this has been an ongoing issue, where sometimes it will say boot failure, and I have to re-insert it) so I'll have to replace it, other than that, it works great. The Sony was really slow the first time I booted it back up, the second time it was running much smoother.

Free screenwriting software for windows 98?

I'm playing a small joke on a friend, she likes to get together and do her school work, while I work on my script, and we just sit and talk. I take my laptop over to her place, but it's 17in, and I've been thinking about getting a smaller laptop for when I go to her house. Recently I got my Windows 98 out of storage, and I thought it would be really funny to show up at her house with it. I still want to work on my script and everything like normal, so I was wondering if there was still free screenwriting software on the market for such an old computer.

It's been in storage for 2 years, so good to see it again.

I bought this off ebay a few years ago for $20, it's been in storage due to circumstances, so nice to see it again. It seems to be slower than I remember, but it had an issue with freezing ocassionally, so after not being used in awhile, maybe it's in a little worse condition, and I'll have to do some tlc, or I just forgot how slow it was, either way, it's so good to see it again.

Simpe object workshop missing

Tonight I was going to mess around with an object in Simpe, only to discover the object workshop is gone, now it's been awhile since I last used Simpe, I also updated it at one point, but I don't rember if the object workshop is in this version or not. I currently have version 0.77.69 . 20 (sorry about the space, the text turned blue when I added the last number.) Is it completely gone from this version, or hidden somewhere?

Why is auto dubbing now default?

I was watching a clip from an anime, and instead of hearing the character, a robotic voice began to speak in English. I immediately knew what's up. Why is it now forcing AI dubs onto videos? I don't want English on a video that's not English, if some people want to swap it that's fine, but I do not, and that should not be the default setting for the viewers.

Searching for a genuine charger for my Dell and Sony Vaio

I have a dell Inspiron 5100, and a Sony Vaio. Somehow during the move the chargers went missing, I'm not entirely sure how, because they were together with the laptops. I'm now searching for a genuine charger for them. I know it's easy to look on google, I'm asking here to make sure I get the right one.

I have complete collection twice, because I lost the second and third disc, and found a copy that was missing the first disc. This collection is nearly 20 years old.

Movie about a woman and her daughter on the run.

Update: After restarting youtube multiple times, it finally appeared again in my recommended. The movie is called Her Desperate Choice.

TW: SA mention

Just now I was in the middle of watching a movie on youtube, the internet has been spotty all day, finally I switched to my hot spot, upon going back, the movie disappeared (I also didn't catch the name because it wouldn't load info.)

A woman and her daughter were on the run because the girl was being placed in foster care, for mom and her making false allegations against dad, even though the daughter had physical evidence of it, they were still going to take her away from mom, and let only dad have visiting rights. I just got to the part where she got a new identity, and began to work at a small diner.

It was so good, and now I'm sad that I can't find it again, also feel a bit silly since I was watching it less than 10 minutes ago.

Signed up for rewards, when do I get the first movie credit?

Upon signing up, it says I get one free movie credit a month, I was very excited to see this, because I love going to movies, and go fairly often. However I have not recieved it yet, and it's been several hours since I joined. Does it come after a certain period of time, or at the beginning, or particular day of the month?

Please quit calling characters lesbians

One of my biggest pet peeves, is seeing characters being called a lesbian, especially straight men who happen to have long hair. And today I had to block somebody who made a chart with different characters, what the person headcanons them to be. 2 men were under butch, and 2 others were under "stone butch" I immediately blocked the person. I'm tired of lesbianism being such a joke.
