my sims js got engaged on their first date and idk what i clicked or its a error from the game but the game suddenly paused itself, also the usual button to unfreeze was gone and im stuck on the three dots button only that can be clicked, can anyone solve this issue plsplspls!!!
Yesterday I played with no issues and my teen Sim went to sleep when I saved and exited the game. Today she doesn't show up, she's only visible in the neighborhood preview. It's probably not repairable but I want to know what can I do so it doesn't happen next time? I have OneDrive uninstalled and I'm playing Legacy Collection. :( already tried tombstone method
hello!! i’m unsure if i’m able to likw make this post or something . But i have like a HUge issue i mightve caused on myself 😓 i accidentally just managed to get my entire game deleted unintentionally or something to the point it says on both the launcher and simPE that the game is GONE ??? which is weird to me because i was just playing it last night before i went to bed, all i did was accidentally age my elder cat and it became a kitten which i assume i bugged it out??? and i cant even edit that sim because its so corrupted or something. Sorry if this is worded terribly or if this isnt even corruption , i’m just confused as hell in what happened
I'm playing TS2 Legacy and brought Bella back. She has had several children with Mortimer. ALL of their children inherit his face. I have the mod to prevent first born syndrome. I also rolled the pacificer multiple times, saved the game right before baby is born to exit.
No matter how many times I do this, their babies end up with Morti's skin colour. All their children have his face.
Do you guys think Bella in Legacy is unable to pass on her genes or something?
EDIT: They all have different zodiac signs and personalities, which is what makes me think they might only be inheriting Mortimer's genes and not Bella's.
Hello! A few weeks ago I played sims, (Keep in mind, it’s on another USB drive) & loading onto a lot my PC battery died & it caused my PC to boot into UEFI. I have now installed windows, but I couldn’t repair it back to its original state. As I tried to originally play TS2, I received the error, I didn’t want to reinstall my game and I’m not really sure how to, (In this drive) cause I am not sure if it’ll duplicate my entire files. I don‘t know how to proceed with this, but help will be very much appreciated.

I’ve been playing the Sims 2 since it came out on disks, getting a new expansion pack as a gift on my birthday every time a new one was released. I’ve sent a lot of sims through university already, mainly family sims as I was building my large family.
Consistently over the years they would roll graduate want, pick xx as major want, befriend professor xx want, finish semester with high marks want (not sure if this is the correct English translation), and the finish period want (again, also not sure about translation)
Moreover, the sims would roll first kiss want, get engaged want, have whoo-hoo.
Now, for the past few days I’ve been playing a household with 1 pleasure sim, 1 knowledge sim and 2 rich/wealth sims but the only university specific wants they roll are “study together” and “go to college”. The rich/wealth sim keeps rolling wants to sell a successful novel or painting, the pleasure sim keeps rolling a want to buy a car.
As I was turning crazy by some wants I have installed some mods, for no more playing instruments, getting an electronic device, less pets obsession, and I’ve also installed the Personality Flavour of the Fewer Hobby Wants wants tree package.
Main question: am I just unlucky that their university wants are being overruled by hobby and free time wants or did I mess with the wants by installing all these mods?

Hello! As in the title, I installed the latest version of ts2 extender from GitHub. I own The Sims 2 Legacy Collection. I did everything right from the tutorial, but as LazyDuchess instructed, I had to delete wininet.dll and add winmm.dll file. I know everything is installed correctly because the cheat code "ts2extender" works and, when I open up the game, the cutscenes don't show up. LazyDuchess says the mod adds an option to use separate tops and bottoms for other categories, however it doesn't work in my game. I'm not sure what else can I do to fix this. I would be grateful for help.
I do suspect it is a skintone issue, but how do I fix this? I am a big newb in ts2 so I don't know what to do, cuz in TS4 I'd just use cas.fulleditmode which is not an option in TS2 sadly. Internet suggests SimPE and Insimetator as option but I don't know which program is more useful in this case (not that it is important, I don't know how to use any of it and I am quite lost because of that...). Thanks!
So I've been getting this issue whenever I try to launch Sims 2. Everything works fine when I reinstall the game but I get the same error when I add some CC or mods.
I have tried deleting cache files.
Moving the downloads folder somewhere else and then starting the game, which didn't work.
Tried forcing the windowed mode (-w)
So uh, whenever I try to click to the right of the eyes all these buttons start appearing that only allow me to permanently delete? I'm scared.. please tell me this doesn't point to something major :( I finally got back into the sims and have finished downloading all my cc and this happens lol
Banging my head against the wall here. I have alternate subhoods in Best of Business Folder. Tried putting meetmetotherivers main neighbourhoods in Documents - Ult Collection - Neighbourhoods. Have the Mootilda mod. If I delete the OG neighbourhoods, nothing shows up on the main screen. If I keep both in, I still can't add subhoods other than the default ones.
Right now, the only shopping district I can add is the custom viper canyon one. Strangetown is also totally fucked and none of the correct townies are there?

I’ve decided to delete some furniture/BB CC that I don’t really use. I’m not sure if I’ve got any of it in my game currently. I’m planning to delete it from my Downloads folder. If I have used some of this CC in my game, what happens? I know in later Sims games the furniture gets replaced with a base game item from the same category, although I have a feeling this is different with Sims 2.
Just her face, not her neck or her hands, or her body.
I tried to change her appearance in the mirror to full face make up then back again, but she's still green. and its so weird because it looks like a peel off face mask.
I need help finding this default skin replacement. Its so ugly and I cannot for the life of me figure out what the name of the file is called. Please help!
