I’ve decided to delete some furniture/BB CC that I don’t really use. I’m not sure if I’ve got any of it in my game currently. I’m planning to delete it from my Downloads folder. If I have used some of this CC in my game, what happens? I know in later Sims games the furniture gets replaced with a base game item from the same category, although I have a feeling this is different with Sims 2.
I’m currently on 1000mg of acetazolamide daily (2 x 250 mg pills in the morning, same in the evening). I’m lucky in that I don’t have many side effects aside from occasional finger and toe tingles, and I’m also avoiding fizzy drinks.
The aftertaste of the meds is disgusting! I often end up gagging slightly. I tried to take my morning dose just now, and I think I choked a bit or something because I ended up spitting the water out and got sprayed on my glasses. I think I managed to swallow one pill, which is better than nothing I guess. It’s probably my fault for not drinking with enough water. But the aftertaste is still nasty. I wish there was some sort of coating on the pills. Even when I do take the meds with a proper amount of water it still tastes nasty! I think I’m also gagging pre-emptively which doesn’t help, like I know it’s gonna taste bad so my body wants to try and get rid of it (even though the meds are working pretty well for me).
Any tips for taking the pills? Just to clarify I do manage to swallow both pills fine usually, today was just unfortunate with me not using enough water.
My family, the Johnsons, live in Lucky Palms. Mum Sarah decided to throw a pool party because it was Leisure Day. The youngest child, Connie, decided to snorkel in the swimming pool. Partway THROUGH the party, Sarah was randomly accused of something she didn't do (she's a level 5 celebrity), so I sent her off to City Hall to try and clear her name. I wasn't paying attention, and the camera suddenly zoomed over to Connie... who was DROWNING in the pool. The Grim Reaper arrived. Naturally, Sarah and her husband Chris, as well as Connie's older siblings Maddie and Archie, were devastated.
Luckily, Sarah is a Five Star Chef, and Chris is a talented gardener and fisherman. So I got Sarah to buy the Ambrosia recipe and quickly learnt it, whilst I sent Chris off to the Sport Fishing lot to grab some Angelfish before getting him to the graveyard to catch some Deathfish. There were already some Life Fruit in the fridge.
I used NRAAS to quickly add Ghost Connie to the household before getting her to eat the Ambrosia, this was the morning after the party. I'll use NRAAS to get her exactly back to where she was age-wise.
The craziest thing? Sarah has the Lucky trait and had a Feeling Lucky moodlet that day. She lost the legal case. Bloody hilarious that she was supposedly "feeling lucky" but her youngest child drowned and she lost her legal case to clear her name.

I don't mind wants, but fears can be annoying! One of my Sims has level 10 handiness, and he's received the Fear of Death so many times after fixing broken electronic items, it's getting ridiculous. There a few fear mods out there, what's a good one?

I had the incident occur whereby you attempt to celebrate a birthday, except the cake catches fire. Luckily the fireman arrived quickly and all was well. Not long after this wish popped up. I also got a burglar alarm for good measure.
I have a lesbian couple who have four daughters, all are children. I thought it’d be cute to do a little family photo shoot celebrating Pride! The kids haven’t figured out their sexuality yet, but they’d like to be supportive. Any t shirts or face paint or similar things to that? Most Pride stuff I’ve found is for teens and above, as usual kids don’t get as much CAS CC love.
I forgot to get a screenshot of this, but I recently saw an instagram post where a mom mentioned her new baby daughter’s name, Honey. It’s not the best name IMO but at least I’ve heard it used before. Her older brother is called GOSPEL. Why not something like Mark or Matthew?
There are so many mommy Instagrammers who have “Jesus Lover” (or similar) alongside Bible verses in their bios, and constantly talk about how great God is. I’m from the UK and that kind of constant Jesus talk is nowhere near as widespread.
I’ve been playing a family in a custom hood (by which I mean using a template from the list and building it up myself). The youngest child recently aged up to Child, and whenever I’ve gone to change her appearance in the mirror my game immediately crashes to desktop. Originally the screen appeared for a while and I thought it could be to do with CC hairs, so I deleted them since I wasn’t really using them. The last time I used the mirror though, the hairstyles etc screen didn’t even appear, the game just crashed. I’m OK with the girl’s hairstyle, I just want to add some earrings.
Is there a reason why maids don’t come at the weekend? Every time my Sims hire a maid, they don’t come on Saturdays and Sundays. I’m assuming this happens to others.
I really hope Bandai don’t come out with any more shell designs I like, for my bank account’s sake… I have also not been great at keeping my active ones alive. 3 out of 4 are dead 🤣 I got the Strawberry Pearl Milk from AliExpress hence the Chinese. The Rhinestone Purple is my most recent acquisition, it only arrived today.
I have MCCC set up to allow me to name all babies born in game. I noticed that Judith Ward, of all people, had TRIPLETS. I’ve not noticed this before through MCCC, though I’ve had a few sets of twins. I gave them all L names, so they’re Leonard, Lucas and Lydia. I wasn’t sure who the father was… turns out it’s none other than Marcus Flex, who she’s married to. I didn’t realise they’d gotten married, as I also have MCCC set to allow me to choose which last name is used upon marriage. Maybe the notification popped up and I clicked through by accident and didn’t realise. Another thing I notice is that Marcus has two toddler daughters who are apparently the daughters of Eva Capricciosa… who is listed as Eva Flex. Yet Marcus doesnt show any indication that he divorced Eva, she’s not even in his friend list. He isn’t in her friend list either. Marcus lives with his wife and five kids… yeah, Eva doesn’t have her kids with her anymore.
I’m definitely a little confused, but I’m not actively playing either of those families so I’m not hugely bothered. Just an example of the weird stuff Sims get up to I guess!
This is not my dog, but a family friend’s dog who I’m looking after while the owners are away. I always love how derpy dogs look upside down!
Am I the only one who’s not a massive fan of Open for Business? I know it gets quite a lot of love. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not criticising people who do like it! I just never got into it as much as others. I’ve always found it quite difficult to run a business, with quite a lot of work for little in return. Some people like the challenge I guess, but I just find it’s not worth it - for me anyway. I do like the talent badge system, and Servos are pretty cool.
