Have any CC creators updated any of their clothes for the new layering update? Like instead of having their layered shirt in the ring or bracelets they have them in the layering category?

Mind you, I don’t have ANY mods in my game. I completely deleted my previous sims 4 game file because my game was broken, come to find out it’s because every time I have script mods allowed, my game completely crashes and when I load into a save everything freezes.

How can that be? It’s not like there is any leftover file when I completely got rid of everything! Is any one else having that problem?

I already have a toddler killer mod and a killer one I just want some more funny script mods

It's basically what the title says. This has been killing me. The game acknowledges that I have the mod installed because when I go into buy mode and search up the sim teleporter it shows up as an option that I can by but when I click search it does not appear in my game whatsoever. I've done everything I can think of. I want to know if anybody has ever had this issue. I've used multiple conflict detectors i've used better exceptions n MC command center. Nothing is helping. I also see that the pose player slash teleporter has not been updated since 2024. Has anyone had this happen and what did you do to fix it?

Hello. i just installed the sims 4 again and downloaded cc for the game. i added the mod folder and put it in the sims 4 folder. everything was unzipped. i booted up the sims and there was no pop up, and no cc. i tried checking and unchecking the ingame boxes, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, rebooting my computer, and i dont have that cache file that everyone is talking about that i have to delete. ive searched google and reddit for an answer and i have yet to find one.

As someone with very basic tech skills/knowledge, the idea of having to download, organize, and update all of my mods and cc on my own sounds intimidating and miserable also as someone with a short attention span lol so until now I’ve used Curseforge just for simplicity. I don’t mind Curseforge, but I find that a lot of CC is broken and I know there’s a ton of stuff out there that I can’t find on Curseforge, so I’m wondering what are some other pros and cons of using Curseforge vs downloading directly from creators and what advice you’d have for a noob who’s thinking about deleting everything from Curseforge and trying to download everything from creators sites instead? The idea sounds so time consuming to me which is my biggest turn off

What happened to itskatato's preteen mod? I've heard it was adopted by adeepindigo but im still unable to find it. It's really not been that long since I've played with it in my game, I hope its not been deleted.

Hey, just a general question here.

I noticed lately I haven't been seeing the "scope the surroundings" option anymore within WW. I am ar a bar with many sims so that should not be an issue.

Not posting this as a troubleshooting post as I am not sure it is an issue or they have removed it?

I do use WW attraction instead of lovestruck.

Anyone have an idea if they removed this?

I am literally about to cry because I have spent SO much time downloading each of my custom content pieces one by one, and I really don’t want to delete my mods folder.

Here is what is happening: I downloaded a top from The Sims Resource, and when I tried to launch my game on my Mac, it hit me with this exact error:

Unable to start: Cannot start because the below file appears to be corrupted... /Users/______/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods/TSR MODS/Clothes/JCB HELLEN GYM BAG.package

The thing is... I ALREADY DELETED THAT FILE.

I have tried everything and I am stuck in an endless loop. Here is exactly what I have done so far, and the error STILL won't go away:

1. Moved my Mods folder to the desktop and deleted the exact JCB HELLEN GYM BAG.package file.
2. Emptied my Mac Trash bin completely (even held the Option key to force-empty it).
3. Deleted my localthumbcache.package and completely wiped out the cache/cachestr folders.
4. Checked iCloud Drive and searched my entire Mac storage using Finder—there are literally NO files left on my computer named "JCB HELLEN".
5. Did a Folder Reset by renaming my Sims 4 folder to "The Sims 4 Old" to force the EA app to make a new one. The game opened fine completely blank, but the second I put my safe mods back, the error returned.
6. Force quit the EA App and the EA Background Service via Mac Activity Monitor.
7. Tried the fake file overwrite trick (creating a blank text file with the same name, putting it in the folder, and deleting it to force a refresh).
8. I lost count of how many times I have run the "Repair" tool in the EA App. I have re-done the repair and cache clearing over and over again, but the app is completely stubborn.

The EA App is stubbornly pulling this file path from its background memory or some invisible cache and refusing to let it go.

Has anyone on Mac dealt with the EA app getting completely frozen on a deleted file path like this? Please help me, I have so many hours put into finding my CC and I don't want to lose everything. Thank you so much in advance 😭

Hey guys, so I just got Sims 4 on my Macbook Air M3, and I installed the Wicked Whims mod as im just curious about the mod and the base game can get boring

I have been having some troubles setting the Mod up... I followed many Tutorials (the official one, ones on TikTok...) but I just cant figure it out at all. My main problem is, that I dont have a Mods folder in my Sims 4 Folder. Ive read that i can just create an own Folder to put my mods into that one (but that also doesnt work🙃). I have also turned on the in-game Sims 4 settings and restarted my game many times afterwards

Posting this is my last resort as ive never posted anything on Reddit, so I really hope someone can help me figure out this problem, thanks 🙏
