I know it’s a massive stretch, but in the spirit of discussion, hear me out.

There’s been a long running fan theory since the show was renewed for Asylum that the seasons would connect in some way, and the leading theory was that each season would correspond to its own circle of hell (see: Dante’s Inferno). Ryan at the time rejected that saying the series would strictly remain anthological in nature, but with the leaks that multiple characters are coming back, what if Ryan is saying fuck it and roll with it? And that the Apollyon hotel is purgatory?

Murder House, Coven, and Apocalypse all detail the rise of the Anti Christ and the resurgence of the Coven. By the end of Apocalypse, everyone was killed by Michael and Mallory went back in time to kill him to reset the timeline. That being said, what happens next?

What if, before Mallory killed Michael in the past, Michael in Apocalypse “erased” everyone’s souls, like how he did with Zoe and the coven, But instead of erasing their souls, he scattered them into different timelines (the other seasons) to punish and torture them for eternity? At the same time, Mallory succeeded in killing Michael in a new timeline where the events of Apocalypse haven’t happened yet.

That being said, what if S13/Hotel Apollyon purgatory? The new Anti Christ (Paul Anthony Kelly, maybe?) succeeds where Michael failed and everyone, unbeknownst to them all, gets dragged into Purgatory, hence why multiple characters from multiple seasons are coming back? Leading back to the more recent theory that each floor of the Apollyon will tell a new story within each season and the penthouse, as in the code name for the season, is the 13th and final horror story?

I’ve been seeing fancast posts pop up again from time to time, which got me in a fan cast mood. One name I was thinking would be a great suggestion to AHS would be Madchen Amick. Why hasn’t Ryan worked with her, I thought. Come to find out she was in a couple of episodes of Hotel!

An actress named Francesca Corney was originally cast as Chloe but was replaced weeks after filming began.

I’m so bummed HBC is leaving and I hope Mike finds a role for her in the future, but sometimes a role that’s written one way doesn’t translate well to filming.
